  • Where We Live: Children's Book Bank
The mission of The Children’s Book Bank is to fill children’s homes and lives with beautiful, engaging books. Through our flagship Building Home Libraries program, The Children’s Book Bank provides children from birth through kindergarten with home libraries containing a collection of age-appropriate books. We serve every Head Start child in Multnomah County in addition to local preschool programs that help children develop pre-reading skills such as recognizing the look and sounds of letters; reading from top to bottom and left to right; and understanding how letters make words, words make sentences, and sentences make stories.

With a 9’ Steinway grand piano on a trailer, pianist Hunter Noack replaces the traditional concert hall with forests, fields, and deserts.
