Once again, the Los Angeles Dodgers had a lead against the NL East champion Phillies. This time, superstar unicorn Shohei Ohtani allowed zero hits in his five innings of work. Justin Wrobleski came in, and six batters later, the 4-0 Dodgers lead was a 5-4 deficit. L.A. battled back to tie the game at 6 in the eighth inning, but Blake Treinen allowed a two-out, three-run homer in the ninth and the Dodgers drop another heartbreaker.
Jeff Snider is here to talk about Dave Roberts' decision to pull Ohtani, the terrible performances from Wrobleski and Treinen, and what should have been a special night for Ohtani, who also hit his 50th home run of the season.

The Los Angeles Dodgers had a lead against the NL East champion Phillies, but Jack Dreyer had an uncharacteristically bad night and Alex Vesia did, too, both allowing go-ahead home runs in the late innings. Mookie Betts had two sacrifice flies and a game-tying homer, and Andy Pages had a huge game-tying homer off Philly closer Jhoan Duran in the bottom of the ninth, but LA was unable to push across a run in the bottom of the 10th and dropped the game. The loss probably ends the Dodgers' chances of avoiding the Wild Card round of the playoffs, so now they're mostly playing to win the NL West.

Tyler Glasnow was dominant for the Los Angeles Dodgers, throwing seven no-hit innings to earn the victory over the Rockies. He was in position for the win because Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, and Shohei Ohtani came through with big hits when they needed them. And for the second time in the last three days, LA carried a no-hitter into the ninth inning, this time a combined effort that ended when Tanner Scott allowed a leadoff double in the ninth.
Jeff Snider and Clint Pasillas are here to talk about all of it, including whether Scott should have been in the game at all.

The Dodgers didn't have an angry win on Sunday. They didn't have an emotional win fueled by anger over how Saturday's game ended. No, they just came out and played like they were better than the opposing team, which is how they SHOULD play against the last-place Orioles. But it's also how they should have played against the last-place Pirates and against the fourth-place Diamondbacks and, for that matter, these same last-place Orioles the first two games of the series, and they didn't. So we'll take a businesslike victory like today's.
Jeff Snider is here to talk about the Dodgers getting great performances from three future Hall of Famers: Clayton Kershaw, Shohei Ohtani, and Mookie Betts. They also got contributions from most of the rest of the team. We'll also dig into the news that Max Muncy and Alex Vesia are returning from their respective oblique injuries on Monday, with Tommy Edman not far behind, and the corresponding roster moves that are coming.

In this pregame episode of the All Dodgers podcast, Jeff Snider delivers important updates centered around the Dodgers’ pitching and injury situation ahead of their game against the Baltimore Orioles. The primary news is the scratching of starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow due to back tightness, a recurring issue that raises some concern given his injury history. Shohei Ohtani is set to start in Glasnow’s place, although he is expected to have a limited outing of three to four innings due to a recent illness that caused him to miss a start. The podcast also provides updates on other key injured Dodgers players including Max Muncy, Tommy Edman, Will Smith, and several pitchers on rehab assignments or sidelined for the season. There is optimism about the possible return of some players like Muncy and Edman in the coming weeks, which could bolster the struggling Dodgers offense and improve defensive alignment. The bullpen is expected to be heavily relied upon in today’s game, but the Dodgers remain favorites to win despite the pitching shuffle. Additional mentions include the ongoing management of Will Smith’s hand injury and the status of several pitchers unlikely to return this year. The episode concludes with encouragement to follow the Dodgers community on social media and the podcast’s Discord server for more real-time updates and discussions.
Highlights
Overall, the episode captures a pivotal moment for the Dodgers as they navigate injuries and roster adjustments with an eye on maintaining competitiveness. The cautious optimism surrounding player returns is tempered by the reality of recurring injuries and the need for careful management of the current roster.
