First, The plaintiff met the defendant on a dating website, and they began a relationship. The plaintiff says the defendant asked her for money to help pay for a trip he needed to take, but he has not paid her back. She also says she loaned him money to help pay for a down payment on a house. She’s suing for the cost of a flight, hotel room, and unpaid loans. He’s countersuing for the down payment on a car and car repairs.

Then, The plaintiff says the defendant was engaged to her son, and she loved her like a daughter. Still, she’s suing her for unpaid loans and postage fees. The defendant says the plaintiff’s son was physically abusive and tried to strangle her, and then the plaintiff bailed him out of jail. She’s countersuing for emotional distress.
