This week, Evangelina talks about To Catch A Pirate by Jade Parker. There are pirate hunters, no one gets seasick, and Alex literally falls in love with one of the characters. It’s a delightful time.

This week, Evangelina talks about Virgin Tribute by Delta James and...oh dear. There was a lot to talk about. There was smacking of body parts that should not be smacked and some truly baffling euphemisms.

Alex discusses the novel Not So Nice Guy by R. S. Grey and reminisces on high school science class with Evangelina.

It’s Evangelina’s week, and she takes Alex on a journey through Prince of Swords by Linda Winstead Jones. Among topics of conversation are loss of virginity, who the main character SHOULD have ended up with, and the seminal teen comedy Whatever It Takes.

The ladies do things a little differently this week. Alex discusses From Lukov with Love by Mariana Zapata and brings up the 1992 seminal classic The Cutting Edge at every conceivable chance she gets. Evangelina is a good sport about it.

Issues abound in this special episode. Alex and Evangelina discuss the recently released Fix Her Up by Tessa Bailey and dive deep into the issues within the novel, as well as they issues they had with the novel. They leave no spoilers unturned, so if you plan to read this novel and don’t want to be spoiled, come back after! Oh boy. This week is chock full of highs and lows. On the high side, Evangelina read a lovely novel called The Matchmaker by Natasha West. Alex suffered through Protecting Freedom by Alexa Riley and was so offended she had to bring everyone else down with her. Trigger warning for this episode: Protecting Honor contains an age gap romance where the girl is literally just 18 when she and her love interest engage in a sexual relationship. Alex dives pretty heavily into the disturbing nature of portraying a romance where the main character has been lusted after since she was 15. Stay safe if that’s going to bother you!

Sorry, both books this week were great so we each took an hour to gush. Evangelina leads the discussion with The Real Deal by Lauren Blakely. Alex talks about Kulti by Mariana Zapata (which is not about a cult). We talk about tropes we love and have experienced first- hand.

In this minuscule episode, Alex loses her mind over Bare Ass in Love by Sasha Burke and Evangelina talks about the first romance novel she ever bought for herself (Easily Amused by Karen McQuestion).

This week we discuss Losing It by Cara Cormack and Crazy Cupid Love by Amanda Heger. We each do a trope of the week. And, as always, Alex asks way too many questions.
