Jolynn Lee is the wife of a retired Marine, a mom and the 2018 Armed Forces Insurance Marine Spouse of the Year.  She joined ALL MARINE RADIO for the second installment in a our “Spouses React” series to discuss a spouse’s view of the concepts contained in Post-Traumatic Winning.

Elham Fanoos is an Afghan pianist who recently graduated from the City University of New York’s Hunter College with a bachelor of music degree, he’ll continue his music studies in New York City on a full scholarship. On May 25, 2019 Elham said “thank you” to all US Service Members who have served in Afghanistan via an article in Air Force Times entitled “To US Troops who served in Afghanistan:  Thank You.”

We contacted Elham and you’ll hear his story and why he wanted to offer his thanks in his own words here.  Awesome stuff!

Paige Winter was attacked by a shark this past weekend while swimming in the ocean off the North Carolina coast. Her father Charlie is a former Marine and a firefighter — he saved her life by repeatedly punching the shark in the head.  In the attack, Paige lost several fingers and part of a leg due to the attack but is expected to make a full recovery.

Now it’s our turn to help a Marine family in need via the Go Fund Me page set up to support the family.

 

Alex Hollings is the Editor of the website The Loadout Room — we intended to talk about gear but got sidetracked talking about ALL MARINE RADIO entering it’s 4th year of broadcasting.  Alex explained the dilemma that media companies find themselves in relative to “click bait,” revenue and quality content.
