In preparation for our interview with Neil Puckett tomorrow, we’ll revisit an interview we did with Adam Linehan of Task & Purpose that focused on the killing of 24 civilians in the Iraqi city of Haditha.

Grant Newsham is a senior research fellow at the Japan Forum for Strategic Studies and a retired United States Marine Officer. He was the the first US Marine liaison officer to the Japan Ground Self Defense force and was instrumental in promoting the JSDF’s initial moves towards an amphibious capability.  He joined ALL MARINE RADIO to discuss the prospect of war in the East China Sea as China continues to expand its sphere of control over the disputed Senkaku Islands which Japan claims as Japanese.

Trying to escape the President’s terrible performance in Helsinki is impossible, so we’ll discuss it.  Additionally, Mac had the opportunity to view a copy of the recently premiered documentary “House Two” which chronicles the events after Time Magazine published the first article on the incident in 2006 up to the final plea agreement of SSgt Frank Wuterich, USMC in early 2012 — we’ll discuss that as well.

Team Trump had months to prepare the President to answer ONE QUESTION — he performance in Helsinki was a FAILURE.  Either his staff failed in preparation or the President went “off script” and ad lib’d, a skill that he does not possess.  We’ll talk to the former PAO of the Marine Corps, BGen Tom Draude, USMC (ret) about what happened and how the question should have been answered.

There was no point in going to Helsinki if the single most important question that was certainly going to be asked — “Do you believe your own intelligence services or do you believe President Putin?”  Donald Trump failed in Helsinki, his off the cuff remarks were a disaster for his Presidency.  The question that is foremost in my mind — HOW COULD TEAM TRUMP FU** THAT UP?  It’s inconceivable to think the President was not ready to CRUSH that question when it was asked.

The Gunner took a trip to the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday, so we’ll get to hear about the trip and the Alamo as a tourist destination.  AND… ALL MARINE RADIO is headed for Camp Lejeune NC for the 2nd Marine Division Change of Command, we’ll talk about our travel plans!!!!  Fired UP!!!!!

As SOFREP’s Alex Hollings joined the program today, the Trump-Putin Press Conference began… so we listened to the opening statements of both leaders and discussed what we heard.  Always a great guest who isn’t afraid of the truth.

The President seeks to change the world’s post-World War II order.  Though he often is his own worst enemy relative to style points, he is fundamentally correct when he asserts the time is over for Americans to care more about the defense of Europe than Europeans do and that the time is over for Americans to underwrite European economies via bad trade agreements.

We’ll also discuss how the word “foe” became the word of the weekend and what the President actually said in his complete remarks — another example our media turning part of a story into click bait.
