Students have been taught how to react to nuclear attacks, tornadoes and earthquakes for decades, yet none of those kill the number of students that gun violence does in the United States today.  It’s time to take measures in our schools to stop these heinous crimes against innocent young people, among these measures should include (1) securing the campus, (2) hiring retired law enforcement officers to provided an armed presence at our schools and training our children to react to a shooter.
