    The San Diego-based trio Thee Sacred Souls saw their popularity grow tremendously in 2022. The group is known for its lush Southern California soul, and in 2019, only after the first few club shows together, the band signed to Daptone Records. Since then, in August of 2022, the band released their debut self-titled album. Amidst a nationwide tour, all three members of the band, Josh Lane (vocals), Sal Samano (bass), and Alex Garcia (drums), join us in studio to talk about their sound, and listen to some songs from the album. Thee Sacred Souls also is performing in New York tomorrow at Brooklyn Steel.

    The Museum of Chinese in America has compiled selections from their fashion and costume collections for The Winter Show 2023. Called 'What We Wore in the Beautiful Country,' hand-embroidered traditional dresses and ornate opera gowns tell the story of early immigration of Chinese people to America.   • A Photography Exhibition Shows Scenes from Flushing and Chinatown

    A new photography exhibit called 'This is Home' opened at Flushing Town Hall this past weekend. Featuring work from photographers Janice Chung, An Rong Xu, and Cindy Trinh, the show centers around themes of community and home in Manhattan's Chinatown and in Flushing. Here to walk through the exhibit is photographer Cindy Trinh and Arts Director of Flushing Town Hall Daniel Bamba. The exhibit will be on view until February 26th, Monday-Friday 12-5pm, and admission is free.
