Many assume Christianity is about improvement. Try harder. Do better. Do more. Stay useful. Romans 5 opens by undoing all of that with one word: “Therefore.” Paul isn’t giving the Church  instructions. He’s reminding believers of a verdict that’s already been declared. If justification by faith is real, then life with God isn’t fragile or constantly under review.

Romans 5:1–11 shows what actually flows out of being declared right with God: Peace that doesn’t depend on circumstances, Hope that survives pressure, and Confidence rooted in what God has done rather than how well we’re holding it together.
