You're invited back to the table as Pastor Colleen reflects on a passage from the Bible where Jesus has a life changing moment in his ministry.

One of the most common complaints against Jesus was that he ate with sinners, outcasts, and women. Throughout all four gospels, Jesus can be found at tables with unexpected people doing unexpected things. All Places Together's summer podcast series: At the Table is going to dig into many of these stories.

The first episode, Called, shares the story of Levi. A tax collector who Jesus calls to be one of his first disciples. Through Levi's story, we can hear Jesus calling us to the table as well, to eat with him and some of our favorite and least favorite folks.

In the final episode of our God's Boundless Diversity, Pastor Colleen is joined by Brittany and John Davis to discuss neurodiversity and how God's giftedness is in each mind, however it works.

Rev. Emily Ewing (they/them) shares their inclusive interpretation of Genesis 1 in this week's episode that celebrates gender identity. Learn about all the current gender identities and how they intersect (or don't intersect) with our sex. Throughout, be affirmed that God loves you whoever you are!

Many Christians have always understood Jesus' command to care for those in need. However, we aren't always as good at recognizing the ability and giftedness of those experiencing hunger, poverty, or homelessness. Pastor Chelsea Morse of Micah Street Church shares from her experience as leading a worshiping community of people who live with hunger, poverty, and homelessness every day. Her words point to the belovedness of each person and encourage us to think creatively to care for and empower those in need.

Gender expression is the focus of week three in our series about God's Boundless Diversity.

Pastor Colleen is joined by Katy Miles-Wallace (they/them), the Inclusivity, Diversity, and Equity & Communications Coordinator for the Southwestern Texas Synod. They help explain terms that are used to describe gender expression and share from their own experience about the importance of being true to yourself. Through it all, Katy and Colleen celebrate God's image in each person.
