From the beginning God has declared the importance of the family and exalts the place of mothers. Women who live out the ministry as one who teaches, protects, and prepares children to be followers of Christ, whether it is their own biological child, or a child God has put in their life. Motherhood is not easy, especially as we experience our culture moving away from Christ.

The Narrow Road has a finish line, and we are called to run as one striving to receive the prize. What are the obstacles that will get in the way? What must we be aware of that attempt to stop our commitment to run? We finish The Narrow Road series by being people that will not let anything get in the way of us running for the prize.

Jesus makes an offer to the thirsty. Come, drink, and be satisfied. But that is not the end of His invitation. God takes the thirsty and makes them the way He pours Himself out into the world that needs Him. Our Narrow Road series continues with the signpost of being conduits of God’s living water.

We walk the Narrow Road committed to the mission of Jesus Christ which is to save the lost. Through a moment Phillip has recorded in Acts we discover elements necessary for evangelistic impact.

Jesus never attempted to veil the reason that He left heaven to walk this earth. He was on a mission to seek and save the lost. His mission continues today through those who choose to follow Him. This Sunday we jump back into our series The Narrow Road by embracing the rescue mission that He is fulfilling through us.

In the quiet of the early morning a group of women are making their way to the tomb. The crowds are gone, the spectacle is over. All that remains is the heavy weight of sorrow as they make their way to Jesus’ resting place as the sun begins to break away the darkness. In that moment they all carry the emptiness that remains from the events of these recent days. Without knowing, soon these women would exchange the emptiness of their despair with the glory of their risen Lord. Through the empty cross and empty tomb God declares His promise of salvation to all who believe and receive. Promises that can never be broken because they are established now and for eternity.

Jesus makes His final journey toward Jerusalem through the multitude shouting out Hosanna! This declaration is fitting as Jesus was heading down a road that would fulfill His mission. Hosanna is not a declaration of praise but a plea for salvation. Palm Sunday reminds us that Jesus walked His own narrow road that ended on a cross so that He could fulfill His mission to save.

All throughout Scripture we are shown how God has the power to make the impossible possible. Jesus even makes the proclamation that nothing is impossible for God and that includes His ability to save us. Walking the Narrow Road puts us in the perfect position to experience God doing the impossible.
