In an historic vote and with bipartisan support, the U.S. House of Representatives impeached President Donald Trump for a second time Wednesday, charging him with inciting an attack on his own government. The vote came one week after pro-Trump rioters stormed the Capitol in an effort to derail lawmakers’ efforts to certify Joe Biden as the next president.

The next round of vaccines will be phased in over the next three weeks and go to Ohioans age 80 and older. But supplies are limited initially, with just 100,000 doses a week available.

House Democrats on Monday took the first step toward impeaching President Donald Trump for inciting the violent insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. Today, members are expected to vote on a resolution calling on Vice President Mike Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment and declare Trump unfit for office.

Parler, the social media network favored by conservatives, sued Amazon on Monday for taking the platform offline. A New York University history professor who studies autocratic rulers says the insurrection attempt and the fervent allegiance displayed by Trump’s followers are straight out of the authoritarian playbook.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine last week said that President Trump’s refusal to accept the election results has ignited the flame threatening to burn down democracy. His comments came a day after the deadly riots in the U.S. Capitol and stand as his sharpest rebuke of the president to date.
