John said: As I was looking at the New Jerusalem, the
angel showed me the River of Living Water. It was
crystal clear and flowed out from the throne of God
and the Lamb. It flowed down the middle of the
main street.

When the Lamb opened the book, John saw the
strange things that were in it—amazing things
about the future. Near the end, John said…
I suddenly realized that everything was new.

John heard a loud voice behind him. He turned to
see who it was. There, right in front of him, was the
Son of Man standing in the middle of seven gold
lampstands.

Philemon—my dear friend—greetings to you and
your family. Dear brother, I don’t normally hesitate in
telling you what is right and wrong. But I’m not going
to do that this time. Instead, I am going to beg.

Paul’s ship struck a sandbar just off the island of
Malta. Everyone got to shore and the local people
came out and started helping them.

Paul was sent to Rome on cargo ships under the
custody of a Roman officer. Suddenly a fierce
storm gripped the ship he was on. The crew
struggled to fight the wind, but the storm grew
more intense.

Felix didn’t pass judgment on Paul because he
thought he might pay him something to let him go
free. Still, the governor met with him several times
to talk about faith in Christ. Once he trembled
and said, “I’m not ready right now. I’ll make this
decision when it is more convenient.”

The commander took Paul before the Jewish
council. Paul stood and said, “I’m a Pharisee
and I’m being judged because I believe in the
resurrection from the dead.”

In Jerusalem, Paul took a vow and went to the
temple. Someone saw him there and assumed that
Paul had taken a gentile with him into the temple.
He yelled, “Help! Here’s the man who has turned
the entire world against us. Now he’s bringing a
Gentile into our temple!”

Paul preached for hours—well into the night. A
young man sat on a windowsill and soon went
to sleep. He slid out of the window, falling to the
ground – three floors below!
People rushed down, only to find him dead. Paul
took the body and hugged it tightly. He finally looked
up and said, “The young man is alive.”
