There's quite a bit I was very unprepared for when it comes to postpartum. A couple new moms and seasoned mom shared a similar narrative as I when I questioned them on their postpartum journey. In this episode I share my personal postpartum journey along with those that shared theirs and what they experienced. We touch on:

1. My expectations vs reality
2. Bounce back concept

4. Lack of Sleep (thankful for my mom)

6. Bloody discharge.

Tips:

• Eat a balanced diet.
• Make daily physical activity a habit.
• Limit your alcohol and caffeine intake.
• Ask for help from your partner, other family members, and friends.
• Take time for yourself, even if it’s just a few minutes here and there (don't do it alone)
• Practice stress management techniques 
• Speak to others who’ve experienced PPD.
• Seek support from a mental health professional.
• Listen to worship music, start a postpartum devotional 
• Choose your hard.

While I don't believe in "the one" I do believe you can marry the best for you.  I wholeheartedly believe I married the best man. In this episode I share do's and dont's that led to finding the man of my dreams.

1. I kept Jesus first. 
2. Allowed him to lead from the start. 
3. Worked on me - physically, emotionally, mentally (who you are is who you will attract) 

Three things I didn’t do: 

1. I didn’t date around - fully committed to one. 
2. I didn’t give up my life - I didn’t change my schedule to fit his.
3. I didn’t follow all the rules - we weren’t perfect but that’s just being real.

Human trafficking is commonly referred to as a modern-day form of slavery, and is a crime that effects every community. The United States government defines trafficking as “the use of force, fraud, or coercion to compel a person into commercial sex acts or labor or services against his or her will.

The United Nations estimate that over 30 million people worldwide are trafficked for forced labor, sexual exploitation, or organ harvesting. According to some estimates, approximately 79% of trafficking involves sexual exploitation, and 18% involves labor exploitation. Human trafficking and forced labor is a $150 billion crime worldwide, and is fueled by buyers who pay traffickers to supply victims to meet their demand. Buyers are commonly employed men with enough disposable income to engage in these activities, which typically cost from $15 to over $1,000 USD.”
