We live a pretty face-paced life. So much so that we don’t realize that we slowly start compromising in order to keep up with our lifestyle. In the book of Leviticus, God gives the Israelites a chronicle of do’s and don’ts. To many of us this can be a huge deterrent, however, what God had in mind was for our personhood that desires holiness and being set apart. Modern-day Christianity says otherwise. We much rather blend in and look like our neighbors. It’s much easier to be influenced rather than influenced. In this episode, we dive into the book of Leviticus and take a look at what it means to reset and pursue holiness in an era that says otherwise.

Do you have an X that Marks the spot in the areas of sorrow, grief, and pain in your life? Have you refused joy and compartmentalized the pain of mourning? In this episode, we focus on the importance of allowing joy and sorrow to coexist. We cannot have joy without mourning and we cannot have mourning without joy. Let's trade our sorrows for the joy that comes in the morning and in the mourning.

Culture Christianity has promoted the idea of the Instagram, picture-perfect life. We share the highlights of our life with pearly white teeth rocking the latest trends while behind smiles we are internally crippled at the reality lived with unanswered prayers, desperate cries for help, and recurring heartache. How unfortunate that we’ve become okay with this. How sad we’ve deemed this lifestyle of pretense, “Christian Living.” In this episode, we take a dive into Mark 5 and the three beggars that illustrate the posture you and I should take.

You and I may have all right to hold on to anger, bitterness, and a mean grudge. Most of us can justify why we believe we are in the right for what we’re holding onto, however, your rightness doesn’t work in the kingdom of God. How you live day in and day out tells a bigger story and is the script that we have on the resume we present whenever we take our last breath and face our Savior. In this episode, we touch on the expiration date of the things we've been holding onto and allowing to cluster our lives. The choice is ultimately yours. You can either rule it (the thing(s) you're holding on to) or you can allow it to rule you.

The tongue is one of the smallest yet most powerful weapons we have. We will give an account for every idle word that we speak. In this episode we take a look at Matthew 12:36. The idle words are words that are used to slander, gossip, self-righteously destroy others and the list goes on. How we treat and speak about those in sin says a lot about what’s really in our hearts. Self-righteousness exposes for the sake of looking good about oneself and destroying the lives of others. Humility understands that lost people do lost things and love covers a multitude of sins. While many of us may be technically right in correcting sin, we are often functionally wrong whenever we allow the principle to take precedence over a person by self-righteously exposing sin.
