Right This Way, weaves a dark and captivating tale about Horace Edmund, a former snake oil salesman turned immortal Grim Reaper after a fateful deal with a mysterious figure. Now known as "Professor Prospero," Horace runs the "Carnival of Souls," a magical, otherworldly carnival that serves as both an irresistible spectacle and a gateway for those whose time has come to face their fate.
The story explores themes of ambition, regret, and morality as Horace grapples with the consequences of his choices and the responsibilities of his cursed role. His carnival crew—each with their own secrets and mysterious pasts—add depth and intrigue to the narrative, including Artemis, a shape-shifting rogue searching for identity, and Moira, a haunted fortune teller.
The carnival itself is alive, its rules and whims shaping the lives it touches. While it offers fleeting entertainment, its true purpose is far more sinister, serving as a tool to reap souls, particularly those with dark secrets. The story unfolds through a series of eerie encounters, moral dilemmas, and revelations about the carnival's origins and its enigmatic master's motives.
At its heart, Right This Way is a richly atmospheric exploration of redemption, identity, and the cost of second chances, set against the backdrop of a chilling, ever-changing carnival.
