  • A Tribute to one of the World's Funniest Comedians T Bubba Bechtol
According to MCA Nashville comic/recording artist T. Bubba, “Bubba is not a Redneck.”
“Bubba is a guy whose ancestors were probably Rednecks, but he’s gone on to College now, works in a bank and likes to hunt and fish on the weekends,” Bechtol observes. “He wears the uniform of the South, but it’s not T-shirts and overalls, like on ‘Hee Haw’. He’s probably wearing a white, starched Oxford-cloth shirt with a stiff collar, a blue blazer, khaki pants, penny loafers and no socks, like I do. He’s a loveable ‘galoot,’ that big, roly-poly kind of guy with a heart of gold that’s in your family. And he’s not just from the South.  I like to call them “John Bubba’s” to explain it.  John Wayne was the biggest Bubba that ever lived, then we had John Belushi, John Candy and now John Goodman is now carrying the banner for Bubbas everywhere.”  See the stereo-type?
    And so is T. Bubba!

For the past 30 years, Ottawa-based singer-songwriter Cory M Coons has been performing and recording his signature blend of rootsy rock. His brand of melodic, guitar-driven music and often introspective lyrics have brought favorable comparisons to icons like Bon Jovi, John Mellencamp, Tom Petty and even Keith Urban. Coons has amassed over 170K Spotify streams, and he has racked up both a Top 20 iTunes Canada single and a #2 international iTunes single. This kind of popularity has also made the industry stand up and take notice: Coons has been nominated for multiple Josie Music Awards and the International Singer Songwriter Association Awards, and he's won the prestigious Producer's Choice Honors for his work with legendary rock producer, Ron Nevison (Heart, Bad Company, Damn Yankees, Survivor, Styx, Night Ranger.)
On October 1st, 2021, Cory M. Coons will release the latest chapter in his storied career. His single, "Freedom Road" (MTS Records) paints an accurate picture of the current situation at home and abroad, that has built up much frustration, anger, and confusion in the world. Coons wants his audience to realize that they should be brave and stand up for their beliefs. He believes that asking God for strength and finding common ground is our way to redemption.
“I feel the song talks about never taking freedom and the simple things in life for granted in these current difficult times we are faced with,” explains Cory. “It also covers the loss of innocence and asking God for healing from above on our journey of faith.”
"Freedom Road" was written by Cory M. Coons, and it features the talents of Marc D. Muir on guitars and Chris Golden (son of Oak Ridge Boys' William Lee Golden) on drums and keys. Coons produced the track with Muir, who also mixed and mastered.

  • Once Again We are Joined by Dirt Road Sunset
    Written by Abraham E. Kline
It has often been said that the best way to succeed in music is to find a few good buddies and start a band. For the four good buddies that make up Dirt Road Sunset, they’ve been playing together in several different of bands for several decades. During that time, they’ve had the opportunity to form their own unique style of words, rhythm, and melody that makes their music both fresh and familiar. Though often compared to such greats as the Eagles, Bob Seger, the Beatles, and others; they are far from being imitators. Along with their many years of experience in playing music, each member is also gifted in the writing of music as well. When they’re together, each one plays a unique role in the creation of a new song-from the lyrics all the way to the mixing.

Neil Riebe has been a lifelong fan of Japanese giant monsters since seeing King Kong vs Godzilla back in the 70s. • Our Friend Bill Abernathy Sits Down with Us
“Imagine yourself in a small mining town on January 29th, 1958. You’re in a condemned hospital where a mother is giving birth to her 4th child while her husband, covered in coal dust from the mines, paces the waiting room. This is the beginning of my story. From that condemned hospital, through many changes and challenges, to having my songs played all over the world, this is my story. “Change always teaches us to be everything we’re destined to be”. We don’t always know what life will bring, what dreams will become reality, what dreams will crash and burn, but one thing is certain. Change is either our friend or our enemy, we choose which.” - Bill Abernathy
