Born in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1986, where sports were my life and my ticket out of my neighborhood. I attended Jean Ribault Senior High School, where I was a true student-athlete. I played football and basketball and ran track. In track, I was on a state team, in the 4 by 4. In football, I was in the top 5 in the state of Florida, and in basketball, I was All-Conference, 1 Team All-Defense, and nominated Runner-Up for "Mr. Basketball”, in the state of Florida. I received offers from top D-1 schools in Florida, including Florida State, plus South Carolina and Tennessee, to name a few.

After making a bad decision, I did not pass the F.C.A.T (which is a state exam to graduate), and I ended up failing it 4 times, in one year. It took me 6 years to get a 4-year college degree. So for 2 years, I was in the streets, wanting to just give up, and blame my problems on other people. I ended up being incarcerated for 8 months, with a felony on my record, because I was trying to "fit in".

Then God gave me a Bible verse to live by: "Seek the Kingdom of God above all else and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” ~ Matthew 6:33.

Before I knew it, I received a second chance at life. I went on to play Pro-Basketball in the A.B.A., and play overseas. Then I went back to college, as a Freshman, at 21-years of age. It was then that I received a scholarship to Saint John River College, where I graduated with my Associates Degree. Thereafter, I went to Arkansas Tech University, where I received my Bachelor's Degree, in Emergency Management.

Now, I am a Father, husband, of 4 beautiful girls ages 13 Jada, 9 Sarai, 7 Grace, 5 Joy. Also, I'm a Mentor with My Brothers Keeper, and I know that giving back is a gift that I was given to share, and it is truly priceless.

Chris Kilham, known as the Medicine Hunter, is an ethnobotanist, global traveler, author, yogi and educator, who has researched medicinal plants in more than 45 countries. He has appeared on hundreds of TV shows globally, and was the "Fox News Medicine Hunter," broadcasting in 100 countries for a decade. The New York Times describes Chris as a cross between Indiana Jones and British TV personality David Attenborough. He has authored many articles and 14 books, including The Five Tibetans which is published in 28 languages. He is a former visiting professor of ethnobotany at the University Of Massachusetts.

Alison Sawyer Current is the founder ofIsla Animals, a nonprofit organization that sponsors spay and neuter clinics, vaccinations and animal care.  Alison won The Doris Day Animal Kindred Spirit Award, in 2005 for her work with Mexico’s dogs. Over the last 20 years, Isla Animals has rescued more than 12,000 dogs and spayed and neutered more than 20,000.  Alison was born in Toronto, raised her children in Colorado and moved to Mexico to lead a quieter life and continue her 30-year pottery career. All that changed when she saw the desperate condition of the animals.

Open Mic night!

Coach Michael Taylor was scheduled to talk with us but wasn't able to, so we opened the show to callers and were blown away when Sid Prince called in from Long Island and we had a great conversation.

Sheri Sather had the idea to create an Instagram page called Power of Pen Pals while on a road trip after her son met one of his pen pals, hundreds of miles away. Eight-year-old Justin has been communicating with Sammie and several other youngsters since he was six and Sheri turned a family vacation into a chance for her sons to meet Sammie. Then, she had the idea to extend the community online.

That's where they met Perise Forbi, a college student who has been working in Cameroon to reduce his country's overwhelming plastic pollution when he reached out to Justin, through the  Power of Pen Pals page.  He needed to do more than rescue it from the shores and streets,  but was running out of ideas. Through Power of Pen Pals, many have stepped forward with ideas.

Justin has been inspired by children and young adults all over the world and has a goal to visit each of them, as he visited Sammie, who approached her mother with an idea. Her mom, Heidi, helped Sammie, herself a little shy, devise a way to recycle plastic bottle caps into a Buddy Bench that would encourage even the most shy students to find new friends. Her project was so successful, her school now has two benches and she has created a global movement before her 10th birthday!

Power of Pen Pals connects people from all demographics who want to make the world better, whether by eliminating loneliness or wiping out plastic pollution so the world's frogs aren't wiped out.

Samuel J. Dennison was born May 14, 1991, to Bishop Myles Spires Jr., and Evangelist Sheryl Morgan. He currently works as a teacher and dedicated aide in Washington DC, where he also resides. For over 2 decades Dennison worked in various Christian churches. He was ordained an Elder in the Lord's Church on November 16, 2016. He has served as a psalmist, youth pastor, chief adjutant, catechizer, and various other roles in the Church. 

Dennison has been afforded the opportunity to share platforms and serve ecclesia of varying renown and made his mark in The Church as an adept preacher, teacher, intercessor, and exhorter. Dennison has been formally recognized, affirmed, and mantled into the office of the Prophet whilst also possessing a great predisposition for that gift. He has also contributed to the bylaws of Christian communities like The Cathedral Citadel of Prayer International founded by Apostle Thomas W. Ridgley.

After a world-shattering paradigm shift, Dennison formally withdrew from the religious system of Christianity in 2017. An avid student of world religions, Dennison believes fiercely in the existence of God and even goes as far as to acknowledge Jesus Christ as the greatest soul to have ever inhabited the Earth. He is a self-identified spiritualist and works to spread the truth of God and advocate for ecumenism throughout the religious world and across all religious lines.

Clarence Hayes Jr was born on March 14, 1977. During the majority of his childhood, he traveled extensively. He accepted Christ at an early age of seven. From there he served as the youth leader for the Fort Shafter Chapel Youth Choir until the age of 11 in which his dad relocated to GA. In 1994, In the year of 1997, he took the Columbus State Gospel Choir to the Georgia State College Baptist Student Union in Augusta, GA where the choir performed in front of 2500 college students. He also served on the Black African American Student Committee for the Columbus State University Baptist Student Union. During the years 1993-1997, Clarence Hayes served as Co-Chairperson of the Deacon Board for the Canaan Baptist Church in Columbus, GA under the leadership of late Pastor James Harold Carter. In 2008, Pastor Clarence Hayes Jr. became a founding member of the Power Center Christian Church under the leadership of Pastor Will Horn.

 

On September 05, 2012, Pastor Clarence Hayes Jr., relocated to Philadelphia, PA where he founded Truth and Life Empowerment Community Ministries Inc. Truth and Life Empowerment Community Ministries Inc is a unique ministry that ministries to all people from all walks of life. Pastor Clarence Hayes is currently working on his Dual Certification in Special Education and Elementary Child Education (K-4) at Drexel University.
