The recent political upheaval and racial tension in our country have caused both distress and uncertainty. I've watched people (whom I considered closed friends) retweet, repost and regurgitate hurtful statements and racist rhetoric. In this episode, I speak from my heart on the issue Black Lives Matter.

On today's podcast episode we're speaking to Nalida Besson. She and her husband were featured in a "Forks Over Knives" article that highlighted their successful plant-based journey. During their journey, the two of them had a combined weight loss of greater than 400 lbs. Their fitness journey also enabled them to reverse several chronic illnesses and discontinue several prescription medications. Listening to this inspiring interview.

Question: Are you surrounded by friends or foes? Does your squad truly cheer for you? Do they really have your back? Are you celebrated or merely tolerated by those in your inner circle? In today's episode, I encouraged listeners to take an honest assessment of the people who call themselves your FRIEND.

We’re all guilty of making comparisons- to some degree. But could getting trapped in the cycle of comparisons cause you to miss out on opportunities to discover your God-given gifts and purpose?
Today, I share my own story. Hear how I found myself stuck in a tangle of comparison, desperately seeking a gift I had with me all along. Find out how I nearly ran in the opposite direction when God showed me the path I was intended to walk. Also, I break down how you can start leaning into your own unique gifts and avoid or break free from the destructive cycle of comparing yourself to others.
"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace:" 1 Peter 4:10
"Every good and every perfect gift is from above.... James 1:17
"A man's gift makes room for him and brings him before great men. Romans 18:16
