Many can see God as a person and can just as easily see Jesus as a person, but these same people find it difficult to see the Holy Spirit as a person. This is the first of a 3-part series that discusses 5 characteristics of the Holy Spirit to show that He is indeed a person, not a thing. In total, I will cover 15 characteristics of the Holy Spirit. Satan wants us to underestimate him. He wants us to be ignorant of how he works. He wants us to live our lives as if he doesn't exist while he takes advantage of our ignorance. That is not what the Word of God says. 2 Corinthians 2;11 tells us not to be ignorant of his devices or he will take advantage of us. 
This teaching reviews 12 names of Satan. These names reveal his character and his capabilities. We will do a far better job at overcoming him if we know who he is and how he works.

We often look at hardship through a negative lens, but we must know that God has a purpose in everything, even what seems most painful to us. Let us not forget that He is a gracious and kind God. His intent is not to harm us us but to bring us to a place of hope. The journey to that place of hope could be the road of hardship. This discussion informs about a journey of hardship that my guest took to a place of hope that not only blessed her, but has and is still blessing many who are faced with hardship.
