  • Episode 27: Enough Already!

Today is a doozy, friends. We're diving into our pet peeves and when we invited you into the conversation, the flood gates were opened. We received dozens of comments, DMs and text messages about the things that drive you bonkers. We can't wait to share this episode with you as we laugh through our frustrations.

Johnna's ready for fall with her new favorite candle scent from Bath & Body Works: Leaves. And is finding serious joy in her new skirt from Amazon: High waisted and polka dots...what's not to love!? Laura's faves for the week are being able to take walks and drives along the beach anytime and the most delicious chocolate chip granola bars from Sunbelt.

Thanks for being with us and please share with a friend! We'd love to pull up more chairs to our ATG table!

  • Episode 26: Just Livin’ the Life
Pull up a chair and catch up with Johnna and Laura and all the craziness happening in their worlds. Grab your spreadsheets for a health update with Johnna and hear why self-tanner and alcohol swabs at the doctor's office might not be a good combo. Also, find out if the Waltons have moved into their new house (Spoiler alert: NO...but "It's fine, y'all. It's fine.").
Laura shares the deets on her new leopard print shoes and a great everyday moisturizer from Aveeno. Johnna dishes on her favorite new bath soak for aches and pains as well as drops a humble brag about her crockpot meal planning. Check out her favorite cookbook that's making it possible from @mixandmatchmama, Shay Shull (It's only $6.99, y'all!).
Congrats to our two winners, Amanda and Laura (Not Walton. Calm down, guys!)! Thanks to EVERYONE who shared and left reviews for our give-aways! And just THANKS for being a part of the ATG community!

  • Episode 25: Put Me In, Coach (Part II)

The response to last week's episode has been great, so we decided to bring in the experts on the topic...our kids. Listen as William and Anna talk to Johnna about being student athletes, with a guest appearance from Will. Laura chose to interview her boys separately because she's still recovering from being thrown under the bus during the marriage episode (And listen to find out if Riley's still playing football for his new school!).

So much goodness from these kids, y'all. They give some constructive criticism on parental sideline/court side behavior as well as some insight into what they need from parents when they're competing -- and after.

Be sure to leave a review on Apple iTunes and tell a friend about All Things Good!

  • Episode 24: Put Me in, Coach
"ARE YOU BLIND?!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!"
We've all been there. Sitting a kids' sporting event and parents are going crazy. Maybe it was YOU going crazy. Maybe it was Johnna or Laura. Today, the girls talk about some, well, growth areas in their parenting when it comes to supporting their kids' extracurricular activities. They pull some wisdom from one of college basketball's most animated coaches, Frank Martin, as well as several other articles linked below for you.

If our sideline behavior isn't great, we've got some other things for you to try. Johnna is loving her new ribbed Henley from Aerie and has made Lizzo's "Truth Hurts" her hype song. Laura took Johnna's advice on the boho dress from Amazon and is LOVING it (green version). She's also giving a big shout-out to her TAs and the interns in her office who are keeping her prepared for class with all their help!
Don't forget the giveaway (see previous post/Episode 23) for all the details. Tell a friend about All Things Good and join us next week for some perspective from our kids on this topic!

  • Episode 23: Dream a Little Dream

In last week's episode, Johnna shared she doesn't dream anymore and of course, the girls turned that off-handed statement into an hour-long conversation. Why is it so hard for us -- as women, as moms -- to have our own dreams? We'd love for you to jump in with your comments and thoughts over on social media after the girls talk through some of the things they struggle with in their lives.

They also have some fun things to share this week. Johnna is loving her new stadium-friendly clear bag and the podcast The Clearing, another true crime listen. Laura's loving the new Wednesday night bible study her new church is doing, Prodigal God (Timothy Keller). And she's truly enjoying the convenience of grocery pick up in her bigger community -- what a time saver!

Don't forget the girls are doing a giveaway for some of their favorite things! For a chance to win Bob Goff's book, Everybody Always, and the girls' favorite Thrive mascara, leave a review on Apple iTunes, screenshot it and post on your social media. Be sure to tag ATG in the post! If you've already left a review, go ahead and screen shot it, and post it! To win the Maasai Earrings from Noonday Collection and the Nivea cream, tag your friends on the ATG August 22 episode posts on Instagram or Facebook. Use separate comments for each tag and each one is an entry!

  • Episode 22: Kindness Wins the Day!
Whoa, Nelly! This one was hard. Between the technology blips and the topic, Johnna and Laura had their hands full with this episode. Have you ever disagreed with a friend or family member? IT'S HARD...especially when that disagreement becomes public on the pages of your social media. Listen in as the girls chat about how to navigate disagreement in friendship and they share some sage wisdom from a sweet friend who recently experienced a very public and less-than-pleasant exchange on social media with friends and family over some divisive political issues. Stacy's "Rules of Engagement" are golden -- and we should all be practicing them!
Johnna also shares her latest podcast obsession: Confronting: OJ Simpson with Kim Goldman and reflects on how her summer "off" has been a much-needed break from the hustle. Laura shares her new favorite jeans from Amazon: Resfeber Distressed Boyfriend Jeans (light blue wash!) and how the timeline of her finally picking up Bob Goff's Everybody Always is no coincidence in this season of transition and making new friends.
Love this episode? Please share it with a friend! We need you to tell others about ATG. Dn't forget to leave those reviews and ratings over at Apple iTunes, too!
    Until next week...

  • Episode 19: A Nod to "No."

Yikes, friends! This one is a tough one. We might be in over our heads with this topic. We both struggle with saying "No." and dive into why it's so hard for us. We're no experts here, so we hope you'll chime in and maybe even give us a template. Please.

Johnna shares her latest Amazon fashion find of the most beautiful blue boho dress. And Laura's purchasing has come to a screeching halt as her family is facing a move in just a few weeks, so she gives you some "how tos" for loving moving friends well! Egg boxes, y'all. All the egg boxes.

Listen to the episode to get your code for 20% off your Christmas card pre-orders with our sponsor, Rosie's Boutique. The cards are stunning and will definitely be keepsakes for friends far and near!

  • Episode 18: Lost in Translation
Happy Independence Day, friends! We wish you all a safe and Happy 4th of July!
You can call today's chat a catch-up session. You'll need your spreadsheet for Johnna's health update and your countdown clock for Laura's adoption update. And if you know a little Spanish, you might be called upon to help Johnna out of the next hole she digs in a Spanish-speaking country. And if you have little ears listening, you may want to grab some earbuds for the first part of the episode.
Laura tried the 90* by Reflex leggings that Johnna recommended a few episodes back and is now fully committed to her gym teacher look for the remainder of the summer. They have pockets on each side for your phone, your practice schedule, and of course, your whistle. Johnna gives you the scoop on how she's stayed organized though all her summer travel with her favorite packing cubes.
Thanks for joining us and come back next week when we (try to!) talk about saying "No!"
