The glory revealed on the mountain was never meant to remain a private memory.

Peter did not build his confidence on a private feeling or a cleverly invented story. He had been an eyewitness of Christ’s majesty.

The disciples wanted a Messiah whose glory would avoid suffering. On the mountain, the Father revealed that Jesus was truly His beloved Son—and commanded them to listen to Him.

We cannot receive Christ’s miracles while rejecting His cross. His glory gives us reason to trust even His most difficult words.

Psalm 15 refuses to separate worship from integrity. The God who welcomes us into His presence also forms us to speak truth, keep our promises, protect our neighbors, and refuse exploitation. Kingdom worship involves the whole life.

Christian obedience begins with identity. Colossians 3 does not tell us to earn a place with God but to live according to the new life we have received in Christ. Compassion, patience, forgiveness, and love make the Kingdom visible in ordinary relationships.

God’s word does more than inform us. It searches the motives, fears, resentments, and desires hidden beneath our visible behavior. Psalm 19 teaches us to bring both our words and our private meditations before the Lord, our rock and Redeemer.

We are always being formed by someone’s words. Psalm 119 invites us to treasure God’s instruction until it reshapes our desires, instincts, and understanding of the good life. Kingdom citizens learn to see the world through the words of their King.

Jesus did not deliver the Sermon on the Mount as one religious teacher among many. He spoke with the authority of the King. His words reach beneath appearances and expose the heart, calling His followers to build their lives on what He has spoken.
