Here's a sign of warmer weather on the horizon: Niagara County has begun accepting reservations for picnic shelters in county parks for this summer and reservations are filling up. The county operates five parks – Krull, Oppenheim, Royalton Ravine, West Canal Marina and Burmaster at Bond Lake. In sports, the Buffalo Sabres return home to take on the Ottawa Senators tonight. They currently stand at $3.12 in Batavia and Rochester, down 3 and 2 cents respectively. And $3.06 in Buffalo down two cents. In sports, the Buffalo Sabres won 5-3 over the Winnipeg Jets Sunday afternoon. They'll come home to take on Ottawa in Buffalo Tuesday night.

  In sports, the Buffalo Sabres continued their westward trip on Saturday, falling 4-1 to the Minnesota Wild. The Sabres take on the Jets at 3 p.m. today. Meanwhile, the Bandits played the second of back-to-back games on Saturday, losing 11-10 to the Albany Firewolves. They're back in action NEXT Saturday.

In sports, the Buffalo Bandits clinched another playoff berth with a 13-10 victory over the Las Vegas Desert Dogs. The Bandits still have five games remaining in the regular season. In news, the Department of Justice announced today that three individuals were arrested and charged in separate criminal complaints with immigration related charges. Also from the DOJ, a Buffalo woman is going to prison for filing false tax returns - failing to report some $1.5 million. And an Ohio man was sentenced for his role in a Jamestown drug conspiracy. In sports, the Sabres fell Thursday night to the Utah Hockey Club, 5-2. They're back in action Saturday afternoon in Minnesota.

New York State Police in Lockport conducted an underage drinking detail on Sunday in Niagara and Erie Counties. Three people were charged with unlawfully serving minors. Also over the weekend, The New York State Police issued 11,582 tickets during this year’s St. Patrick’s Day enforcement initiative. In Western New York, there were 13 DWI arrests, 308 people charged with speeding, 28 distracted driving tickets issued, 40 charged with having children without seatbelts, and 5 move over violations. In all, 1,152 tickets were issued locally.
