This is the single most important episode of Riggs & Alley we've had so far.  Today was deemed 'Blackout Tuesday' in the music industry, and we took a BIG detour from our normal programming.   We normally do REAL TALK, but this is RAW talk.  First chunk of the show  - we took calls from YOU.  How are you feeling, what are you worried about, what's on YOUR mind?  We literally have no idea where to go - we have a microphone, time to give YOU the voice.  We then spoke with Lt. Less than 30 days on the job, Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley has a LOT on his plate.  Another much needed conversation from the man who helps things function in MILWAUKEE county - having declared racism a public health crisis, and helping sign legislature - how is it being implemented?  What are his challenges, how is he leading the community to enact change, how are they handling the protesting in the municipalities, what's the relationship like with MPD and more.  These talks NEED TO HAPPEN and have to CONTINUE to happen.

It's a somber day in Milwaukee.  Feels strange to talk about anything other than the state of the world, the country, and our city.  We spent the first portion of our show talking with DJ GeeA from our night show, and got his thoughts on the protesting, and how life is so different being black in America.  We lightened the mood with a little weight loss talk with Alley, and Riggs wondered how we greet one another in a "COVID World", but we will continue to have a peaceful and meaningful conversation about the state of the world.  It's an uncomfortable conversation for a reason - breaking through that discomfort is how we start to create real change.
