The National Wrestling Alliance book ends this monumental 2022 with the Championship Series. In the past, the Championship Series was almost a way to hit a reset on some storylines in the company, but also solidify some of the premium matchups. With only just a handful of Tuesdays and Saturdays left in 2022, the NWA gives the viewers a glimpse into what we will be in store for in 2023.

On this episode of the Alliance Guys Podcast, we are joined by Rick Del Santo of the PWZ Podcast. Rick will give his insight to what he believes is in store for the NWA and we’ll discuss what we collectively like and dislike about the 2022 version of this historic brand.

Then we’ll dive into the championship series. We will review, recap, and reconsider all things NWA POWERRR.

Nearly one year ago we spoke with Vinny Berry of Wrestleville. Vinny is an accomplished podcaster. Throughout the years he has interviewed many stars from the world of wrestling, past, present, and future.  In 2020 he wrote "Lance By Chance," a biographical offering from Lance Von Erich. And last year he wrote “The Pro Wrestling Vault, Volume 1,” based on his popular podcast. Since then Vinny continued to shine the spotlight on the talents from the world of wrestling, but new and old. And all the while worked to release “The Pro Wrestling Vault, Volume 2” recently.

All books are currently available at http://wrestleville.com. Vinny joins us to share some of his favorite stories from the past year and to talk about the importance of preserving the history of professional wrestling.

December 11th, business picks up for Danny Limelight. Pulling double duty. The Former MLW World Tag Team Champion, the former IWA Puerto Rico Tag Team Champion, the former UWN Tag Team Champion has two explosive matches signed for the 11th. First, for NJPW Strong, Homicide re-unites with Eddie Kingston to team with David Finlay to battle Team Filthy. Tom Lawlor, newly acquired Bobby Fish, and Danny Limelight. Bobby Fish attacked Homicide in the closing moments of the matchup of Homicide and Limelight.

Win, lose, or draw, Danny Limelight then travels nearly 2 hours south to Irvine to wrestle the United Wrestling Network World Champion, Jordan Clearwater. Clearwater defeated the former champion by way of the Red Carpet Rumble benefit. Clearwater has held the title for nearly 200 days and has been reinforced with Prince Nana’s Embassy. The National Wrestling Alliance has entered a new era. The days of Strictly Business are long gone. There is no National Treasure, no crusade, only smash. As in Idolmania has smashed through the glass ceiling. As in Austin Idol in conjunction with Church’s Money collectively own three of the NWA’s most prestigious championships.

On the backs of WildKat, the NWA produced several hours of television in New Orleans this past weekend. Jay Cal and DKM were there for both Hard Times 3 and the Revolution Rumble.

On tonight’s episode of the Alliance Guys Podcast; they fellas will finally have an opportunity to speak about the events that occurred on both nights and speculate on the future of the NWA brand.

Did Nick Aldis just become the hottest free agent in pro wrestling? What path will the former 2 time NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion? Make no mistake, Nick Aldis has a stellar track record in pro wrestling. He held the IWGP and TNA World Tag Team Championship with Doug Williams. He held the TNA and Pro Wrestling Noah GHC Tag Team Championships with Samoa Joe. He's held international World Championships, he's a TNA World Heavyweight Champion, a Global Force World Champion, and is currently the Stu Hart Heritage Champion.

On this episode of the Alliance Guys Podcast…

We will continue the conversation on the Nick Aldis/NWA Fallout.

Plus Jay Cal and DKM will give their predictions on what will happen at Hard Times 3!

And we will recap and review a fairly positive episode of NWA POWERRR that leads right into New Orleans.

One week before Hard Times 3, but all anyone is talking about is the fallout of Nick Aldis declaring his intentions to become a free agent. The National Wrestling Alliance chose to suspend Nick Aldis (with pay) while his contract ages out, following comments that Aldis made with regard to the brand. The departure will have repercussions for the NWA. A shake-up that may redefine the NWA going forward. Do you want to talk about it?  We are here for you.
