Alliance Blog Podcast: Interviews with Independent Wrestlers and Wrestling Personalities

One week before Hard Times 3, but all anyone is talking about is the fallout of Nick Aldis declaring his intentions to become a free agent. The National Wrestling Alliance chose to suspend Nick Aldis (with pay) while his contract ages out, following comments that Aldis made with regard to the brand. The departure will have repercussions for the NWA. A shake-up that may redefine the NWA going forward. Do you want to talk about it?  We are here for you.

Sure feels like the NWA is ramping up to Hard Times 3. This week's matches have created top contenders for the uncrowned Television Championship and the tag team challengers who will face La Rebelion at Hard Times. We also learn about a few other matches coming up for Hard Times 3.

But it also opens up some questions. What is the nature of the relationship between Gaggz the Gimp and The Question Mock aka Question Mark 2? Why did he come to his aid? What is next for the Dirty Sexy Boys? Why is Jamie Stanley managing? And can we get more matches with Flip Gordon already?

All this and more, you don’t want to miss this week’s episode of the Alliance Guys Podcast!

Woof. That was a hard episode to watch. The National Wrestling Alliance presented Velvet After Dark #2 this past Tuesday and we are here to talk about it. To be honest, the wrestling was okay. And if you fast-forwarded through the other segments, it wasn’t that bad. But going into this, you knew it was a filler episode and if you watched it, you knew what you were getting.

So although we’ll spend some time reviewing POWERRR SURGE Season 10, Episode 2… we really would prefer to talk about something more entertaining.

Because it was 10 years ago that NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce and Colt “Boom Boom” Cabana faced off in Australia in the finale of the Seven Levels of Hate. The original stipulation was that the best of seven series would involve the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship, on the line in every match. Each with a more brutal stipulation. But the end game was Pearce was going to win the series of walking away from the National Wrestling Alliance.  So DKM, Jaden, and Jay will be discussing the events that surrounded the controversy that ushered in new ownership into the NWA and subsequently crowned a new NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion.  Join us for all the fun!

We’ll also discuss the matches that have been added to Hard Times 3.

This week on the Alliance Guys Podcast--  Jay Cal and DKM will take a closer look at the two nights of NWA in New Orleans as more matches are being announced for Hard Times 3 and Revolution Rumble.   We'll discuss the new Championship Match that Trevor Murdoch will have on November 5th at World League Wrestling.  And lastly, the guys will discuss the results of POWERRR and will give you their thoughts about hopes for the NWA.

Jeremy aka Wrestling with the MMA and co-host of the OTHER Alliance Guys will be joining Jay Cal on this episode.

Tuesday’s episode of POWERRR really changed the landscape of the NWA heading to Hard Times 3. On The FIXER’S version of USA SURGE, Bully Ray, on behalf of Kilynn King, was able to negotiate an additional qualifying match for the number one contenders to the Burke.  Under the idea that Taya didn’t pin King to win the honor for Hard Times 3. With Billy’s blessing, the two matched up on this week's POWERRR.  We will discuss the unusual precedent that the stipulation sets for the NWA and how that could impact all number-one contender’s matches in the future.

We’ll also discuss the matches that have been added to Hard Times 3.

And of course, we’ll recap/review all things POWERRR and forecast what’s next for the NWA. Hope to see you in the chat!

The NWA has officially taken the Television Championship into custody as Tyrus has relinquished the title, to cash in his Lucky Seven. Now that officially Tyrus will be part of the Main Event of Hard Times 3 joining the World Title match between Trevor Murdoch and Matt Cardona, the NWA has moved quickly to fill the vacant championship.2 five-person matches. the winner of each match will face each other for the TV Championship. Ricky Mortin, Jax Dane, Anthony Mayweather, Marshe Rockett, AJ Cosana, Caprice Coleman, Jordan Clearwater, Da Pope, Rush Freeman, and Max the Impaler. The NWA's quick actions mean we won’t wait long for a new TV Champion. We will discuss this.

And we’ll break down all things POWERRR SURGE as we review, recap, retcon, and reconsider this week’s episode of POWERRR.

We know that on November 12th, Taya Valkyrie will challenge Kamille for the Burke at Hard Times 3. However nearly a month before, the pair will square off, in Mexico City, Kamille will challenge Taya for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship. The Interpromotional feud between the two started back in April at XPW and has now spilled over into the NWA and now into Mexico. We will discuss, is this the biggest rivalry in the NWA?

What is the status of the NWA Television Championship? The commentary team of the NWA has expressed that Tyrus has cashed in his title shot. Has that been officially announced? Does he get his title shot before or after Hard Times 3?

Plus we’ll discuss the meteoric rise of Dak Draper. 2-0 since his NWA debut and has already advanced into the semi-finals of the NWA National Championship Tournament. Who is he? Where did he come from? We’ll get into it.

And we’ll break down all things POWERRR as we review, recap, retcon, and reconsider this week’s episode of POWERRR.
