Alliance Blog Podcast: Interviews with Independent Wrestlers and Wrestling Personalities

This episode is dedicated to positivity.  In the way of the 22-year-old budding Joshi Star Hana Kimura who recently ended her life over what amounts to cyberbullying.  Kimura who competed at Ring of Honor's G1 Supercard in MSG and was on the Stardom roster.  Cyberbullying is very real and we're very sad to hear of this.

Unrestricted Free Agents have started signing.  Brian Cage made his debut with All Elite Wrestling at Double or Nothing answering the question where he would show up next.  ROH recently re-signed the "Mercenary" Flip Gordon.  However, without promoting any new events, the NWA hasn't released any new signings.  However, after watching Inside the NWA, you know that Billy Corgan and David Lagana would love to work with Ethan Carter III aka EC3 again.  Could his Tyler Durden-esque promos land him into contention with the "National Treasurer" Nick Aldis?

David and I have been friends for nearly 20 years.  Every time we sit down for an interview, we end up talking for hours about his nearly 30 years with the NWA.  This podcast was very unique.  We spent almost two hours speaking about Marquez's experience in the world of wrestling.

David was born and raised in Southern California and even promoted his first wrestling event before a move to Missouri granted him an opportunity to become a part of a new wrestling company.  He breaks down how he got involved with Gordon Solie and Harley Race to form WLW.  The transition from returning to SoCal and becoming a producer/director for many independent wrestling promotions; UPW, XPW, EPIC, etc.

David also goes into detail about how he got connected with the Inoki Family, the Inoki Dojo, bringing the NJPW USA brand, and becoming a member of the NWA.  David goes into detail about how they went from running events in the Inoki Dojo to running events in huge arenas.  David also speaks about his efforts to help NJPW attempt to purchase the NWA.

We then get into Championship Wrestling from Hollywood and how it was impacted with the changes to NWA ownership and how it has benefited with the newest NWA Ownership.

With a heavy heart, we kick off the podcast with a moment of silence for Larry Csonka and Shad Gaspard. Please take a moment to send prayers or positive vibes to their families.

Hello friends, Today we take a moment to celebrate the works of Larry Csonka, the voice of 411Wrestling.com. It was announced last night that he had passed away. I’m gutted. His writing voice inspired mine.

We also say good-bye to “Absolute” Ricky Starks who has elected to become to a free agent and has walked away from the National Wrestling Alliance

And tonight is the night when we venture out to “Carnyland.” So let’s all talk about it. Let’s #talkNWA!

Nick Aldis has constantly referred to Ricky Starks as the "1st Round Draft Pick" of the National Wrestling Alliance.  And with good reason in such a short time Ricky Starks has become one of the shining stars of the #NWA and it's weekly show #NWAPOWERRR.  "Absolute" Ricky Starks has leveraged himself into the TV Title Tournament that is taking place Friday at #NWAHardTimes.  But furthermore, he has proven he isn't the rising star of the National Wrestling Alliance, he is THE STAR of the NWA.
