As Christians in the world we are faced with all kinds temptation and opportunity to sin. We must, however, live differently than the world. We learn from Jesus what it means to love our neighbor as ourselves from His parable about the Good Samaritan. We are challenged to examine our own lives and see if we truly love others in this way. Christians are often scrutinized by the world and called out as hypocrites. Only when our faith runs through our whole lives and God is King in our own hearts can we impact others for Christ. God gives us the wisdom we need to love and serve those around us.

As Christians we can often lose sight of what it means to live for Christ each day. We are distracted by the world, the flesh, and the devil and buckle under temptation. God promises us victory over temptation, but only in Christ is the promise fulfilled. We want to think that we have some part in our salvation or that God rewards us for our good works. But in reality, we cannot do any good work apart from Christ. The law shows us how far we are from being good. We must look to His example of love and humility, trust in His grace alone to be saved, and learn to stand on Gods promises when the doubt and temptations come.
