  • God is My Fortress
David was no stranger to peril. He dodged Sauls javelins and evaded his armies. With few other resources of his own, he called on the great I AM for protection. On this program, well look at Psalm 59 from an historical perspective of the life of King David.

  • A Charge to Keep, Part 2
Just as sheep need a shepherd to protect them from the wolves that would decimate the flock, the church needs shepherdswise men who can discern a true Christian from an imposter and distinguish truth from false doctrine. This week on No Falling Word with Liam Goligher we are continuing our study of chapter 20 of the Book of Acts and see Pauls on-going concern for the future of the early church.

  • Forsaken, Yet Not Forsaken
Have you ever been at a place in your life where you felt forgotten or forsaken, totally alone? Its a painful place to be, a place where you feel no one understands or feels your pain. But one person does understand, and has felt your pain and has conquered death for you so that you can have eternal life.

  • Christ's Two Comings
The joy of the believer is that one day Christ is returning to take us to our eternal home with him. But what does that mean and what do we do until then? Christ continues his work after he ascended and we can take part.

  • Sanctified by God's Sovereign Grace
The Bible affrms the sovereignty of God in all things, for all time, for His own glory. The knowledge of His sovereignty is the foundation for the Christians hope in a world that often seems chaotic and meaningless. Knowing that God graciously administers every aspect of life brings joy to the believer, a joy that is a witness to the world of Gods glory. Yet, to speak of joy in the context of the misery, disease, cruelty, treachery, violence, and death of this world seems incongruous; to affrm that God presides over such a world is to invite protest; and to suggest that joy is an appropriate response to Gods governance can seem insensitive, if not offensive. In this context, we are helped by the truth that Gods sovereignty is not arbitrary, but is rather joined with His redemptive purpose. The misery that is in the world through the sin of man, God has answered in the cross of Christ. And Christs resurrection gives us a viable hope, a hope in our own future resurrection and inheritance in heaven.

  • Low Deeds in High Places
We may become a little uneasy when we read Davids Psalms calling down Gods judgement on his enemies. Today on The Bible Study Hour we are studying Psalm 58. Davids appeal here is a little different than it has been in previous Psalms weve studied; this time, he cries out against the wickedness of Israels leaders for the sake of the righteous, not just for himself.

  • A Charge to Keep, Part 1
Paul may have considered himself to be the least of the apostles, but he was instrumental in establishing the church and he knew the trials the church would be facing. This week on No Falling Word, Liam Goligher begins a two-part message on leadership in the early church from Acts chapter 20, looking at the role of the elders.

  • Human After All
Its hard for us to really embrace the idea that Jesus Christ was as much a man as he was God. But along with the miracles he performed as the Son of God, he also experienced humanity as deeply as we do...and one of the best examples we see is when he, while being crucified, was thirsty. Jesus was human after all, and if he was going save us, if he was going to die in our place, then he needed to be one of us to do it.

  • What is the World Coming To?
The joy of the believer is that one day Christ is returning to take us to our eternal home with him. But what does that mean and what do we do until then? Christ continues his work after he ascended and we can take part.
