Almost Accurate

This week the boys will regale you with not one, but TWO tales of mischief, cars flying off things they normally wouldn't fly off of, big magnets, witches and murder.

That's right.... we're talking Fast and Furious 9 and Fear Street 1994!

Did.... you not get that from that well thought out description?? Back from a two week break, the boys have some episodes of Loki to catch up on, and what a show it's turned out to be! We're not even going to try and write a joke in the description about this, it's just a really good time. See? We did something wholesome. Right there in the episode description. We really are maturing.

Also- E3 happened this year! We got a look at the upcoming Breath of the Wild sequel and oh yeah THERE'S GONNA BE A NEW 2D METROID GAME. No big deal though....

This week: one of the worst titles for a movie that we've heard in a while. That's right- it's time for the boys to talk about some big bad demons in The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It. Jake has watched Raya and the Last Dragon (which was a bit meh) and they've got news this week. SO MUCH NEWS. Turns out Square Enix has finally fixed Cloud's door so look forward to paying $70 to see that door in all of it's oak stained glory this time around.

Stay tuned to the end to listen to the boys rewrite this installment of the Conjuring. Warner Brother's drop us a line because we know that you're listening.

This week the boys dive into the insanity that is the Patton Oswald-led Modok. Trust us, you've never seen anything Marvel that's quite this..... well, just give it a watch and see if you agree with us.

We've also got a big 'ole load of video game news as we head towards this year's (virtual) E3. Is Nintendo releasing a new version of the Switch? Is that Horizon sequel actually coming out this year after all?

It's a rapid-fire round of news this weeks folks! That's right, we do an ant-Zack Snyder and instead of making this episode 4 hours long, we absolutely truck it through some news, from the Sony State of Play, to The Last Night in Soho.

Who thinks a Zombie movie in Vegas sounds cool? Zack Snyder sure did, and we have to admit the premise was pretty damn cool. How does the rest of the movie stack up after that VERY impressive credit sequence?? Well.... listen to the second half of this episode to find out y'all!

Yeeeee haw, are y'all ready to talk about some football (soccer that is for everyone else). That's right, the boys have finally gotten around to talking about Apple TV's Ted Lasso, and boy oh boy is it a breath of fresh air that we all need right now. Seriously though.... if you haven't watched this do yourself a favor and check it out before Season 2 starts in July.

Hey did you know that you can't even buy Raya and the Last Dragon on Disney + right now? Well we didn't either! You know what that means?? It's time for a good 'ole fashioned last minute list episode of Almost Accurate. Get ready for the boys to tell you all about what their top-10 Disney and Pixar movies are. Because hey.... that's still technically a topic right??

This week the boys (well at least one of them) takes on the newest of Michael B. Jordan's new vehicles, Tom Clancy's No Remorse. Is this a joyless and mostly predictable ride in the vein of most of Tom Clancy's novels, video games and movies? Yes. Yes it absolutely is. Should you (our listeners) subject yourself to nearly 2 hours of this Amazon sanctioned nonsense? No. No you shouldn't. However, listen to our review! Hopefully we can cast this in a somewhat less dour sort light.... I mean we'll certainly give it a shot at least.

It's Ryan's most anticipated movie of 2021..... it's time for MORTAL KOMBAT!!!

The movie where they don't actually do the tournament that's called.... you know... Mortal Kombat. But hey, is there still plenty of combat with a k in this movie? You bet there is. Is there still the signature fatalities that the series has become known for? Well does a lady get sawed in half by a hat in this movie?? (Yes. Yes, that totally happens). It's a fun time for all (at least if you have a little bit of tangential knowledge of the Mortal Kombat series).

Everybody is somebody right? Even if that somebody just so happens to be an ex-government homicidal lunatic. I bet that's someone that you wouldn't want to steal from right? Maybe just break into their house haphazardly and come away with a minuscule amount of cash and perhaps also a 7-year old's kitty cat bracelet that might be the exciting incident that kicks the whole plot into high gear. Right??

The boys are talking about Nobody this week in case you didn't get that from that excellently recited synopsis. Man oh man does Bob Odenkirk play a psychotic murder VERY well. Maybe even a little bit too well.....
