Almost Accurate

So it's all come to this. One man, a 78 year old man with a 55 year old's poorly rendered digital face. Another man, age unknown, walking around with a large reflective helmet of beskar steel. It's the ultimate showdown, The Irishman vs. The Mandalorian (The Irishman is still longer though). What do the boys think? Lots of thoughts. Lots of thoughts indeed. One of them is right (Jake) and the other one (Ryan) definitely wrong about one of these.

2019... I mean what a year it was. It's certainly not the year that it is anymore now. It's 2020. It's the second week of 2020 some would say! But hey, this is Almost Accurate and Better late than never right?

Seriously, thank you all for the amazing ride we've been on, all the stuff we've engaged with, some good, some not so good, and some truly terrible stuff. So no jokes (not here in this episode description at least) and enjoy our year in review, of 2019.

So it all comes down to this... oh yeah we're back from our own Christmas break. Sorry about that... but also, Happy New Year! Let's get down with some MORE Star Wars talk, as one of this year's most anticipated films is finally here.

So take your lightsabers out folks and start swinging, let's go!

It's time to let the past die.... kill it if you have to. We've taken Kylo's words to heart and we're deleting every episode before this because nothing else matters after this. Ryan has finally watched the Last Jedi and his has some opinions on this, the most controversial Star Wars movie.

Do the boys love it? Or hate it? Is this the movie that has ruined Star Wars forever because in this gigantic galaxy of millions of different species and races we finally see a some representation? (if you're already prepared to throw your phone out of a window in sheer rage at this point, this episode probably isn't for you, this movie doesn't deserve the bad rap it gets).

The boys also break down trailers galore- we're talking WonderWoman its the 80's now and you're not gonna forget it, they talk Ghostbusters: Where the hell is Bill Murray, and much more in this week's intergalactically packed episode.

Also a hot take- Final Fantasy 7, good game. Seriously, it's like $15 now, go play it.

This week, its a mystery who's even behind this rather suspicious episode. Well... just kidding, it's the usual suspects and they're up to no good as well. The boys talk Knives Out, the first in our two-part Rian (yes with an i) Johnson films (the other of course being Star Wars: the Last Jedi).

So whodunnit? Who's got mud on a rug or blood on their shoes? And who's getting all of the old man's inheritance? Also- how much morphine can you take without dying? We're gonna say, about 100 mg.

Anyways, another full week of news, featuring new trailers from Black Widow, and 007 himself. Don't miss out!

Baaaaaa... da da da da da duummmmmm. Star Wars season continues and we have a heaping Thanksgiving helping of fire Star Wars content this week. Ryan watches the Force Awakens for the very first time (and sort've liked it?)

The boys also review Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order and it's a fascinating mix between Crash Bandicoot and God of War (and it's excellent, seriously it is).

That's right folks. We did it again. A sequel!! Those are popular right?! We talk more Mandalorian (which is awesome) and Death Stranding (which continues to be awesome, now that one of us is over 20 hours into it).

A news rundown, Nicholas Cage is still doing Nicholas Cage Shit, there's a possible Joker sequel in the works already, and much, much, much more in this week's episode.

Have you ever wondered what would happen if the Monster Energy Drink Company survived a ghost/explosion related apocalypse? Have you ever wanted to throw grenades made of your own poop/blood at a ghost? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be Norman Reedus for like... 50 hours at a time?

Well you've come to the right place, and Death Stranding is your game. Big Dick Kojima is back, and he's brought all of his Hollywood friends this time in one of the wackiest, most insane, walking simulators we've ever seen. Seriously, it's like what if a UPS man had a late deadline, also there were ghosts that could eat you. AND... there was a baby in a tube that you were carrying around with you.

That's not to mention the launch of Disney+ and it's myriad of original content including The Mandalorian (which is excellent). No seriously, it's a fantastic western set in the Star Wars universe and it's fully deserving of it's praise that it's getting. No poop grenades will be thrown it's way from this Podcast.

Also, let's give a happy birthday to our favorite co-host and loverboy Ryan today!

This episode really vibed with us. Is that what the kids are saying nowadays? Okay boomer. Anyways the boys may be out of touch but that doesn't mean that you have to be. On a week were not many new releases happened (literally none) enjoy this mostly news heavy episode where everything from news of the Spider-Verse sequel is announced, Tom Hardy is putting out drawings of Venom and Carnage, Fantastic Beasts is getting (another sequel) and more!

Also, a very, very hot take that Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is a good game. Seriously, if you have a Nintendo Switch and you haven't played through this yet... what are you doing.

Let's kick some dicks. Or... Time to nut up or shut up. Or whatever it is that Woody Harrelson says that rhymes. This week we have our annual Halloween spooktakular episode, where we review the surprisingly delightful Zombieland Double Tap, talk about the state of Hollywood filmmaking and franchise building, and ruminate in Conan O'Brian appearing in Death Stranding. I mean... seriously, Conan appears to give Norman Reddus an otter hat so he can swim like an... you know what, doesn't matter.

Full spoiler review of Zombieland 2, a news roundup and more this week. Strap in folks! And seriously, kick some dicks, or whatever he says that rhymes and is slightly humorous. You won't want to miss this Halloween episode.
