Hey everybody! For this episode I talk to the owner of New York Championship Wrestling, Johnny Patches! We talk about what got him into wrestling and who were some of his early favorites. If he ever wanted to be a pro wrestler and how he got his first role in a company. From there we transition into what made him want to start a promotion and the process that went with it. What went into building his roster. How is he able to create such long term captivating storylines. Then at the end I’m given the opportunity of a lifetime. This is an interview that was very informative and, much like NYCW’s storylines, captivating. It’s a great listen and might be my favorite interview for personal reasons.

Hey everybody! For this episode I talk to Jordan Falco, a veteran of the CNY/WNY indie scene and all around the county. Jordan talks to us about his early memories of wrestling especially what it was like having a father in the business. He also talks about being a second generation wrestler and what comes along with that. We also talk about the differences on the indie scene from when he started to now. He talks about his ups and downs and all the different places he has been. This is an interview I loved because it had such great insight into the world of someone who has been around pro wrestling for so much of their life and you get to hear them first hand tell you about how it impacted their life. This truly is a can’t miss listen.

Hey everybody! For this episode we talk to current and longest reigning NYCW Empire State Heritage champion Dante Dio. Dante talks to us about how he became a fan, his favorite childhood wrestler, and what made him want to be a wrestler. Where he trained and how he started ring crew. From there we talk about his start in wrestling and how his first match was in Indiana. From there we go into how he started in NYCW. What it’s like to be such a fan favorite and the experience of winning the ESH championship. Dante Dio is one of the workhorses of NYCW. He’s a man who constantly gives everything in the ring and consistently puts on quality matches. He’s someone the New York indie scene should be talking more about and I’m privileged to be the first person to have him on a podcast.

His training and the multiple schools he attended to hone his craft. A number of people who were helpful to him through his career. How his personality within the ring developed. How he came to NYCW and what the experience of winning the championship was like. Some of his favorite opponents and angles he’s been apart of. Johnny Moran has a perfect mind for the business and one of those wrestlers that I personally love to watch. This interview shows that in tremendous fashion and I hope it’s one everyone enjoys because I certainly did.

Hey everybody! For this episode we talk to current Truly Independent Wrestling champion Jimmy Limits! Jimmy talks to us about how he fell in love with wrestling and what moment made him want to be a wrestler. He gives us a look into his training and early experiences on the indies along with some people who were helpful to him during those times. We talk about how he got started in TIW and did he ever expect his future? What it felt like to win the top title and what pressures go along with the top spot. At only 23, Jimmy Limits has an incredibly bright future. He already possesses incredible talent and could easily be the next big name on the indies in the northeast indie scene.

Hey everybody! For this episode I was made aware right from the beginning that this was no longer Alone in the basement but The Drip Zone with Waves & Curls. This interview is absolutely hilarious from top to bottom while also highlighting some of the best parts of humanity about helping others and staying positive. We talk about how they became fans and what made them want to be wrestlers. Training together and how they became a team. Where the name Waves & Curls came from. How they got on Limitless Wrestling’s Pandemic at the dojo, and some of their favorite experiences so far. Also there’s a brief moment of tension over mac and cheese. This was such a good time and genuinely one of the best times I’ve had during an interview. These are two guys who truly love pro wrestling and believe in putting out a helping hand to all of those around them. We need more people like them not only in wrestling but in the world.

Hey everybody! For this episode we talk to Little Mean Kathleen! Despite only being in the business for a year Kathleen has already made some big strides with her talent and determination. Here we talk about what got her into wrestling and who were some of her early favorites. What made her want to be a wrestler and why she chose the wrestling school she did. What it’s like breaking out on the indies, where her name comes from, and people who have been big help to her. From there we go on to talk about how she met the other members of the Scrunchie Squad and we also talk about her match at Beyond Wrestling’s “Please Come Back” and some ring crew stories. This interview was great and Kathleen had me laughing the whole time. This is one I can’t recommend enough.

Hey everybody! For this episode I talk to Armani Kayos and Paris VanDale, together known as Higher Society. We talk to them about what got them into wrestling and what made them want to be wrestlers. Why they both went to the New England Pro Wrestling Academy. How long they have been wrestling and what it’s like to break out on the indie scene. Why they chose to be a tag team and what some of their future goals are. This was a fun interview and I’m so happy that they came on the show. This rookie team is a pair that is going to break out and become a big deal in the northeast indie scene, I have no doubt in my mind about that.
