Episode 9- Mikayla, NAAF Conference 2022

This episode of Alopecia Connection highlights Mikayla, a young woman from upstate New York  who originally developed alopecia at the age of 13.  Mikayla has since become quite involved with the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, attending the Legislative Hill Day in 2019 and most recently the 2022 NAAF Annual Conference in Washington, DC.

Mikayla has contributed as a legislative liaison, and also in the mentor program for young children with alopecia.  She has conducted several fundraisers for NAAF as well.

On this month's episode of Alopecia Connection, meet Matt Keefe.  Developing alopecia around the age of 5, Matt discusses his journey with the condition, including his appearance on the "Today Show," and his involvement with Links for Locks, a golf tournament that raised over $100,000 for the National Alopecia Areata Foundation (www.naaf.org).  At the time, this was a greatest single fundraiser in the history of NAAF.  Matt brings a tremendously positive alopecia attitude to the the show, providing great perspectives on living with the condition.
