Welcome to the return of Big Day Out.
In this mini-series, the boys will create the lineup for a returning Big Day Out. For times sake, they've shortened the number of stages to only 4... Local Produce Stage, Green Stage, Boiler Room and of course, the Main Stage. Today's episode is the Local Produce Stage.
The parameters are simple. All artists must be still active and they need to think about which artists will sell tickets (kind of...). 6 bands per stage, chosen 50/50 between Josh and Simon. The headliners for each stage is debated between them and then they pick the running order. Welcome the mighty return of BDO!

Songs For The Deaf, the third release from desert rockers Queens Of The Stone Age, catapulted the band into god rock status. Josh Homme and Nick Oliveri together with rock legend Dave Grohl, crafted the ultimate road trip album. The album is loosely based on the concept of driving from LA through the desert to Joshua Tree. March 17, 2022 Episode 46: 100 (40) of the best pop songs of all time.
We are back and we've brought a list with us! No, its not our list. It is a list by Liveabout publication, '100 of the best pop songs of all time'.
Obviously we don't go through the whole 100, as this was recorded this at some ungodly hour. We decided the top 40 was our best bet to see how they went about this list. They take a slightly scientific approach, stating "Scientists at the University of London who have studied the psychology of pop music have identified three elements that make a song grab your attention. Phrasing, Chrous, Strong Vocals."
Elsewhere, angry Simon makes an appearance, Josh gets to speak (or don't) about No Doubt, and Simon sings... a little too much. As for the list, a famous Italian footballer once said "Sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit!"
