In my first episode of 2021, I interview special Kingdom Rockstar guest, Michele Buckner Samodurov. Michele is an inspiring Christian single Mother of four, (aka “Hot Mama”) who is from the Sacramento, California area. She is an educator and health coach, and is passionate about health, education, encouraging women, her children, and Jesus. In our conversation, Michele shares her redemptive and inspiring God 🔥story of rising up from her circumstances when she found herself a single mom after the birth of her fourth child. Her marriage to a pastor came crashing down and she found herself in the midst of a volatile court battle with no means to provide for her children. During this time, she also received a devastating breast cancer diagnosis that left her fearful for her life and the lives of her children. Michele shares how her faith and the power of praise brought her through her battles and helped her to be victorious over fear and to be more than a conqueror. In this Thanksgiving episode recorded on Facebook Live, I feature a special co-host guest, Sha Sparks from the KC area.   Sha is a former show guest (Episode 7), certified fearless coach, and podcast host of the Power in Investing in People podcast. In our conversation, Sha and I discuss the power of praise and how praising God in our difficult circumstances helped us overcome our struggles in ways we never anticipated. Sha also shares her God story of the admission of her dependency on God and complete surrender of control in her life, which set her free from an abusive relationship and opened new doors to walk in her purpose.  I share uplifting scriptures about praise from the Bible and how praise has helped me keep my eyes off myself and back to God during difficult struggles and setbacks I’ve encountered.  Sha also shares wise words about humility and how praise puts God above all our circumstances, which paves the way for God’s power to be displayed.

In this episode recorded on Election Day, I feature special guest, Doris Swift.  Doris is an inspirational blogger, speaker, podcast host of the Fierce Calling podcast, and author of Goodbye, Regret: Forgiving Yourself of Past Mistakes. She has been in ministry for more than thirty years.  Doris is married to her best friend for 36 years and loves spending time with their two grown kiddos, and six grandchildren.  In our conversation, Doris shares her God story of the unexpected changes in her banking career that transformed her life and brought her to her ministry calling.  She also shares how she wrapped herself in the Psalms and cried out to God and how he turned her grief to joy.  To help those struggling with unexpected changes in their lives, Doris also shares encouraging words and resources on her website. In this episode, I feature my first 2020 special guest co-host Teresa Blaes, Altered Stories Ministry Volunteer, Energy Blogger, Author, and host of The Unresolved Life podcast and the Teresa Blaes Show.  Teresa is a Christian wife, mom, and cat mama. She is also the owner of Kadosh Media with her husband, Michael Blaes.  In our conversation, we discuss the Energy blog located on the Altered Stories Ministry website (https://alteredstories.org/energy-blog).  Teresa and I talk in depth around the blog topics (Grief, Peace in the Midst of Changes, Yom Kippur, Unity, Shalom, Jesus Return, Light in the Darkness, New Mercies) and how she lets the Holy Spirit lead her in her writing.  Teresa and I also talk about the upcoming presidential election and  the responsibility that Christians have to vote based on their Godly principles.

In this episode, I interview my special guest from Houston, Texas, Baylee Dunn, who is my Altered Stories Ministry Virtual Assistant.  Baylee is a recent college graduate and has a passion for helping women see the love of the Lord in their lives.  She believes that there is hope and healing in every circumstance when you call on the name of the Lord.  In our conversation, Baylee and I discuss her God story and how she has seen the Lord at work in her life through disability, mental illness, and numerous other struggles.  Baylee also shares encouraging words from scripture to encourage others who may be struggling.  Enjoy listening to Baylee’s God-glorifying story! 

In this episode, I interview KC kingdom rockstar special guest, Misty Hughes.  Misty is the Founder and President of the international organization Mountain of Myrrh (M.O.M.) Ministries. She is also the visionary leader of the local expression of M.O.M. — The Single MOM KC. She is a new wife, mom, and Grammy.  In our conversation, Misty and I discuss the unique challenges she encountered as a single parent and mother of four that led her with God’s prompting, to become the Founder of Mountain of Myrrh in 2009 to assist single mothers and their surrounding communities. Misty and I also discuss how God transformed her life and faith through the process as she walked in obedience in accepting her nonprofit ministry leadership role and calling to come alongside single moms to love and encourage them and provide hope and resources to them through their struggles.  Misty also shares faith-building and encouraging words to single moms struggling with finding community.  Enjoy listening to Misty’s God-glorifying story!
