Welcome to the first of the last two podcasts for 2011!  Lots of great stuff this week, with new releases in the first segment and the last segment filled with some of my old favourites from 2011.  Plus, a special timely cover to end off the podcast.

Penultimate in the sense that this is the second-last podcast for 2011!  I have some new tracks from 2011 (plus one FROM THE FUTURE aka January 2012 release from AF Music), and some more favourites from 2011 podcasts.  I'm still undecided re: what to do for the December 31st podcast, but I have a couple of weeks to figure that out.

Unfortunately, no special podcast planned - just a list of songs I haven't played in a long time. It's also a short podcast, clocking in at under 25 minutes!

The first podcast of 2012! I switched things up a bit from the last regular podcast, and I think things will continue this way for a while. I mention in the podcast that I'm going to try to throw a few more features from time to time; but more on that another time.

It's the NHL All-Star weekend here in Ottawa, and I am excited!  I don't normally worry very much about things like making sure I record the skills competition if I'm going to be out for the night (like tonight), or getting HD for this very occasion, but it's in my home town and I have been waiting for this for a long time.  Too long.  Lots of great music today, plus some All-Star trivia!  (Trivia courtesy Liam McGuire/Slam Sports)

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, so I picked out a few tracks that had that loving sort of feeling.  Also some disco songs.  PLUS I have some things to say about Hockey Day in Canada, which is today (February 11, 2012), starting at 2PM EST.  And finally, a return to the “cover song at the end of the podcast”.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful St. Jean Baptiste weekend!  I had a fun time finding tracks for this podcast, and there's a little bit of every genre in the show this week.

Hopefully the fan I had on to cool down the "studio" didn't cause too much background noise. I had a fun time putting together this playlist, and listening as I recorded. I guess if you read the track listing, the "secret cover song" won't be so secret!

Your eyes are not lying! I'm going away this weekend, so I thought I would release the podcast a few days early.  It's a little long this time around, but since it's been three weeks since the last episode, I figured nobody will mind!  Some great music in there, starting off hard and fast and ending on a similarly strong note.  Except for one or two songs, everything in the podcast has been featured on the blog in the last three weeks.

I'm finally back with a new podcast!  It's been since the end of July since I released a new episode, and for that I am deeply sorry.  But the move is complete, and I have some brand new stuff for you.  Today I was just winging it a little, but I plan to put some more work into the blog and get some exciting things happening.
