Alternative Airwaves

A short podcast to follow-up the ridiculously long 'cast from two weeks ago.  I had some issues with Jamendo when it came time to put the podcast together, so a couple of artists had repeat songs.  If you want to check out the artists I would have played, links will follow the playlist.

Warning! This podcast is an hour in length - in other words, double the usual length.  You may want to set aside some time to listen to the podcast.  But don't worry, the music is excellent.  It's full of stuff I've neglected to listen to over the last little while, and I've put together a pretty sweet mix.

Podcast 36 features lots of new hip hop, plus a new feature debuting!  It's called "Five Minutes On" and this week is reviewing His Girl Friday (1940).  Plus there's a new theme (based on TenPenny Joke's song "Sense"), and a few new elements thrown in that may or may not have come across properly.  At any rate, I fixed the microphone problem from #35.

I'm back with a new podcast!  Featuring music from Beat Six, Sekshun 8, and Staggered Crossing.  I don't have anything witty to say, so just go on to the playlist!

It's been a long time since I've had a podcast with new music, but I'm back despite a crummy summer cold (I was popping back Fisherman's Friends the whole time) with music from the AFMusic netlabel, as well as another track from the latest I Am Not Lefthanded album.  Check out the playlist below!

I finally made it to #50!  I didn't get the chance to plan anything special - we'll leave that for number 100.  In the show today: songs pulled from Mike's last ASR show; new tracks from Swedish pop bands; a demo from Brad Sucks; and a really cool cover of a Robert Palmer track.  Plus I instituted a new rule for the show - a 30-minute hard time limit.  I hope it makes for a tighter podcast.  Hope you enjoy it!
