I have compared warrior philosophers to conventional ones in their general outlook and their views of the world.
I found them fascinating as a teenager and looking at them again with a new philosophical perspective brought up some interesting stuff.
There are some quotes referenced they are below so you can read em if you like that sorta things with your podcast.
Wilfred owen
If I have to be a soldier I must be a good one, anything else is unthinkable.
What passing-bells for these who die as cattle? Only the monstrous anger of the guns.
William Hope Hodgeson
...the history of all love is writ with one pen
Mahatma Gandhi
Action expresses priorities.
Bruce Lee
Adapt what is useful, reject what is useless, and add what is specifically your own.
As you think, so shall you become.
Carl von Clausewitz
Courage, above all things, is the first quality of a warrior.
Miyamoto Musashi

I'm not talking literally, this idea is from the late great William Shakespeare so like the majority of the play writes recorded knowledge is related to acting.
Listen in to hear how this idea can be used practically and what is to be learned from the process of going backstage.
Here i am talking about these two feelings (not sure if fulfillment is a feeling but you get my meaning) and how they differ. Why its important to differentiate the two. There is also some personal opinion about which one is more helpful long term.
In this episode i have my first ever guest on the show his names Alex and we are talking about Freedom. What it means to us and together we try to work out an answer to the question what is freedom.
This is the first of many episodes where i will have guests on. I will interview people that have studied and know about philosophy and i will interview people that are interested but are lay people. This is to see the difference in the thinking process of different people from different walks of life.
I want to get deep into the whole situation that from where i'm standing is pretty high up the philosophy ladder.
There is an answer in philosophy I'm interested in and the whole situation around it is tied into religion and what one of the end game type things about learning philosophy is.
This is an esoteric one be ready.
They are a big part of modern society, doctored and upgraded images of said peoples are used to market towards us they set us so we measure ourselves against people whose sole job is to look nice. Are those people who we should aspire to be? Is how we act around them actually how we act around other people in our lives.
I have applied philosophical thinking to this situation and its led me to some interesting places. I thought this whole process was worth sharing.
This is an episode about the late great Mr Jung i'v heard how influential a guy he was i haven't ever read his knowledge before so this should be interesting. The quotes i talk about are below for you to refer back to if you like:
Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word ‘happy’ would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness.
The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed.
The shoe that fits one person pinches another; there is no recipe for living that suits all cases.
The least of things with a meaning is worth more in life than the greatest of things without it.
As in other apply this episodes i'm going to be getting into being open in depth. It is an almost contradictory thing sometimes. There is also some content in here that i think isn't talked about much on this topic, so come on in see if my knowledge (such as it is) rubs off on ya!
This is a meditation type thing my philosophy class has taught me. Just a little walk through to help you put down that emotional/thought baggage you have right now. its always there and putting it down even for a few minutes is nice. So give this a listen if you fancy trying that if not crack on with my regular casts.
I saw a video a while back now and i made this cast about it. Now feels like a good time to slot it in. Everyone's struggling with lockdown number 3ish. Its january 2021 if you are reading this in the future, when there is so much that we feel we can't do in our lives having that mindset that means we can be happy in the moment. How could i not share something like that.
