In an interview that I recently heard with the author Robert Coram about John Boyd. You can listen to hear all of the details but the interview introduced this topic of career recognition versus career accomplishment. I think that we all want to be comfortable. It's OK to take advantage of the experience that we have hard earned. After all, why not benefit from the work we have done? It's not OK to never learn anything again. I know, it is hard to step outside when it is cold and raining and do the hard work but it is necessary for us to continue to push boundaries and keep trying if we want to stay young.
