After marveling at this new intro, we jump into the latest and greatest news of the week which surfaced when Bayern Munich supervisory board member and power broker at the club, Uli Hoeneß went on a German talk show and had some choice quotes (like usual) regarding the transfer of Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, the transfer window, Director of Sport Max Eberl, and the state of Bayern Munich as a whole. We break down all of it!

Next up, we start our match preview segment by taking a look at the Bundesliga matchup between Bayern Munich and Hamburg on 9/13. This will be Bayern’s first match back since the September International break. Vincent Kompany’s boys look to pick up where they left off against a historic German club. We review the history of Hamburg, take a look at their coach Merlin Polzin, how they’ve fared being back in the Bundesliga for the first time in seven years this season, and of course the connection with Bayern Munich keeper Daniel Peretz being on loan. Finally, we dive into Bayern Munich, how they’ve looked this season, where they stand in the table, recent matches, potential lineups, and of course predictions on how this one will shape up.

Now on to Chelsea football club who will be facing the Brentford Bees in another London Derby in the English Premier League a few hours after Bayern Munich plays their match. We review Brentford’s recent form, the many changes the club has gone through, in addition to their potential tactics. Of course, we talk about Enzo Maresca and Chelsea, what they’ve been up to lately and what their lineup and tactics may look like for this one. Welcome to the Always Bayern Chelsea show. Football season is well underway now and the 120th episode is a complete recap of the summer 2025 transfer window. Danny and Jim break down the incomings, outgoings, and more as well as rate the entire window for both Chelsea Football Club and Bayern Munich. Buckle up because this was one of the most crazy windows in recent memory. And don’t worry YES we will be streaming the Champions League match between Bayern Munich and Chelsea.

As always Chelsea did A LOT of business. Key incomings for Enzo Maresca included. Jamie Gittens, Alejandro Garnacho, Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, Estevao, Buonanotte, Dario Essugo, Andrey Santos, Jorrel Hato, Paez, Penders, and Sarr. Outgoings were Nico Jackson, Broja, Felix, Madueke, Christo, Ugochukwu, Mathis Amougou. Carney, KDH, Matos, Chilwell, Gilchrist, Humphreys, Veiga, Beach, Bergstrom, Bettinelli, Kepa, and Petrovic while players loaned out including partner club Strasburg were Paez, Penders, Sarr, Anselmino, Castledine, Kellyman, Samuels-Smith, Wiley, and Nicolas Jackson to Bayern Munich of course. Chelsea netted about 5 million euros in profit this window. Pretty impressive business.

Bayern Munich’s transfer window was less desirable. The club notably struck out on their main transfer target dating back many years Florian Wirtz, other key misses were Nico Williams, Bradley Barcola, and sadly many more. The lack of alignment between the supervisory board, sporting board, and even coaching staff made this a difficult window for Vincent Kompany and the Bavarians. Luckily there were some key incomings including Diaz, Tah, and Bischof. With Nicolas Jackson joining on loan from Chelsea. Sadly Bayern Munich lost key players who are already missed by the club, some of which left on a free transfer including Sane, Dier, and Thomas Muller. Other outgoings were Tel, Coman, Wanner, Aznou, Kratzig, and Vidovic. Players that left on loan were Palhinha, Kusi-Asare, Zaragoza, Peretz, Ibrahimovic, Zvonarek, and Buchmann. It’s yet to be seen if this window will improve the squad for the long run but Bayern did net roughly 10 millions euros in addition to massive savings in the wage depart.

Welcome to the Always Bayern Chelsea show. Today is the CRAZIEST DAY IN ALWAYS BAYERN CHELSEA HISTORY. We have a dozy of an episode for you here at 119. The Champions League draw and schedule is finally out. Bayern Munich are facing off against Chelsea in the very first UCL matchup on 9/17/25. We will be streaming that one for all to enjoy. There have already been so many twists and turns in the Nicolas Jackson transfer saga. Will Chelsea and Bayern be able to strike a deal? AND we had two matches today. Chelsea beat Fulham 2-0 in the English Premier League while Bayern Munich beat FC Augsburg 3-2 in the Bundesliga.

We kick things off in this one by recapping the insane UCL draw and schedule. We briefly preview the big match between Chelsea and Bayern at the Allianz Arena and we talk about our plans to stream the match before talking about the rest of the UCL schedule. The news will not stop today as at the original time of recording a loan move for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson was announced to Bayern Munich. Since then it was announced that Chelsea was going back on their word and is begging the exiled player to come back to London after he was undergoing medical testing in Munich. We cover it ALL here.

And on to the weekends matches. We start our breakdown by discussing Chelsea’s controversial 2-0 win over Fulham. Another London derby. We review this entire match from Enzo Maresca’s tactics & lineup to player performances to match highlights to all of the controversy and refereeing decisions. In the 23rd minute we saw a Fulham goal canceled by a question VAR intervention determining a questionable foul in the leadup. Joao Pedro then scored for Chelsea assisted by Enzo Fernandez before Enzo Fernandez was awarded a penalty by VAR after discovering a handball that was not called originally on the pitch. Next up for Chelsea after the international break is Brentford in the EPL before Bayern Munich in the UCL.

Finally, Danny jumps on to give a thorough breakdown on Bayern Munich’s insane 3-2 win over Augsburg in the Bundesliga. Vincent Kompany’s squad came out dominating once again going up 3-2 before conceding 2 unanswered goals, missing countless chances, and letting the match devolve into utter chaos. Danny reviews all of the tactics from Kompany/Wagner, lineups, player performances, match highlights, scoring, substitutions, and even match awards. Serge Gnabry opened up the scoring before Luis Diaz and Michael Olise got in on the action. Harry Kane provided 2 assists in his 100th match for the club and Konrad Laimer provided an assist as well. Bayern Munich plays Hamburg next in the Bundesliga and then Chelsea in the UCL. Big things are ahead after this International Break!

Welcome back to the Always Bayern Chelsea show for the 118th episode. We've finally caught our breath and are able to review the thrilling DFB Pokal first round match where Bayern Munich narrowly beat 3. Liga side Wehen Wiesbaden 3-2, advancing in the tournament. We hit all the stops in this episode also talking about the potential Nico Jackson transfer AND previewing the upcoming Bundesliga matchup between Bayern Munich and FC Augsburg as well as the English Premiere League matchup between Chelsea and Fulham.

We kick things off with an introduction and a FULL breakdown of the big German Cup opening round matchup for Bayern Munich against Wehen. We talk about Kompany's varied lineup/tactics and why we were fans of integrating youngsters into the mix for this one. Then we talk about all of the match highlights, scoring/substitutions, player performances, and give out match awards. Everything looked to be going to plan for the Bavarians when Harry Kane scored a penalty, and Michael Olise scored putting them up 2-0. Things then went off the rails as Bayern missed chances & allowed two goals when the defense fell asleep. Luckily Kane came to the rescue in the closing seconds of the match scoring the third and final goal of the match assisted by Josip Stanišić.

We then dive into a full preview of Bayern's Bundesliga clash this weekend with FC Augsburg. We break down what we foresee Kompany to roll with as the Starting XI, potential tactics, key players to watch in this one, and of course a prediction of the final score. Then, we break down the rumors swirling around Chelsea striker Nico Jackson and that he may be on his way to Munich for a loan deal. What would this mean for both teams? Another massive victory for Chelsea, this time in matchday 2 of the English Premier League season. Jim reacts a couple of days late as he was in Up North Wisconsin over the long weekend. He was able to watch live, but now he gives his full thoughts on Sunday night to discuss the Chelsea match against West Ham. It was another London derby for the Blues to begin the season, and the start of the match wasn't the greatest. For Jim it was a brutal first 20 minutes of being on a roller coaster. Chelsea turned things around pretty quickly and ended up putting 3 goals past the Fulham defense in the first half - Pedro, Neto, and Fernandez. Caicedo and Chalobah each added a goal in the second half, and the rout was on. Jim discusses the great performance for the team - tactically, defensively, and on the attack. He was very impressed with how they bounced back from being down 1-0, albeit against a very weak Graham Potter managed team. Welcome back to this glorious Always Bayern Chelsea show episode. This episode is especially huge for us because Bayern Munich opened up their Bundesliga season with a completely dominating showing winning 6-0 over RB Leipzig while Chelsea beat West Ham 5-1 in the English Premiere League shortly after giving us an 11-1 win on the day! This episode of the show features Danny breaking down the Bayern Munich match as Jim is out of town. But fret not Chelsea fans, Jim will give you Chelsea coverage before long.

Danny kicks things of by setting the stage with an introduction. After that it's straight into reviewing Bayern's massive Bundesliga opener at the Allianz Arena verus a strong Leipzig side. Vincent Kompany's squad did not hold back scoring 6 goals while keeping a clean sheet. Danny makes sure to break down Vincent Kompany's lineup and tactics as well as all of the match highlights, player performances, and scoring/substitutions. There were goals galore, Michael Olise scored a brace, Luis Diaz scored a goal in his inaugural Bundesliga match, and Harry Kane scored a hat trick. Serge Gnabry and Luis Diaz both had two assists and Kim Minjae had the final assist. Overall it was a legendary game. Finally, we talk about Leipzig's DFB Pokal first round 4-2 victory over 4th division side Sandhausen after surviving an early scare. Welcome to the Always Bayern Chelsea show. BAYERN MUNICH ARE FRANZ BECKENBAUER SUPER CUP CHAMPIONS. FOOTBALL IS BACK. We cover it all in this episode of the show. We kick things off with a beautiful rendition of “Feeling Good”. Then, we dive into Bayern Munich’s incredible 2-1 victory over VFB Stuttgart to pick up their first trophy of the season. Tensions are rising between Bayern Munich and Stuttgart as Stuttgart remain firm on holding Nick Woltemade captive despite the player’s desire to move to Bavaria and Bayern Munich offering over double his current market value to make the move happen. In this episode we break all of that down and we look at Vincent Kompany’s tactics, lineup, match highlights, scoring/substitutions and even hand out player awards. Harry Kane opened up the scoring in this with a wonderful goal while Luis Diaz found the dagger late assisted by Serge Gnabry. Heck of a performance by Manuel Neuer and Dayot Upamecano as well.

Next, we move over to Chelsea Football Club for their disappointing English Premier League home opener draw to Crystal Palace 0-0. We break down Enzo Maresca’s lineup/tactics, match highlights, scoring/substitutions, and of course hand out match awards. While Chelsea’s defenders held strong lead by Reece James and a clean sheet from Robert Sanchez, the attack lead by Cole Palmer was extremely lackluster. Chelsea hope to move past this one when they take on West Ham on Friday 8/22. Bayern Munich plays their first Bundesliga match on the same day against RB Leipzig.
