Take a Fender Jazz bass, mix Herbie Hancock with the musical heritage of Mozart, season in the conservatoire, add a dash of modern technology and marinade for half a lifetime. Step forward Stefan Redtenbacher, all-round funk wizard and leader of his band, the Redtenbacher’s Funkestra.

Born in Salzburg and educated around the world, it didn’t take long for Stefan to find himself drawn to the sound of James Brown, surely an inevitability since his parents met while dancing to ‘Sex Machine’. The relentless and visceral groove of Bootsy Collins and the JB’s surely drew Stefan into the world of funk, and at 14 he bought his first bass. “I was hooked on low rumbles,” he says. “I saved up my money from a summer job and spent it all on a bass.”

Though most popular musicians are self-taught, Stefan took the formal training route, his natural talent and capacity for study taking him from the Vienna Conservatory to Berklee College of Music in Boston, Chichester University and the Institute of Education in the UK where he assembled his Funkestra, purveyors of a deft line in what their leader, perhaps tongue-in-cheek, terms ‘Strudel Funk’.

Samer is London based Bass player and Musical Director. 

Over the last 10+ years in London Samer has created and hosted the Hoxton Jazz Fusion jam night, is Musical Director for American country artist Sarah Darling, performed with Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Take that, Roo Panes, toured the world with various breaking POP artists and performed in many venues and festivals including The Royal Albert Hall, The O2, BBC Proms, Glastonbury, V Festival and SXSW.

In addition to the above Samer has recently started new video platform called LDN Features with business partners Andy Wilder & Matt Allen, supporting artists to bring their music to life with the LDN Features band and filmed live in our studio.

Scott Tarulli is a multi-faceted musician, composer, and clinician with a focus on funk-rock, jazz, pop, and chamber style. His musicianship has taken him across the USA and even overseas to perform at international shows such as the Pescara Jazz Festival and venues like the Sunset in Paris. 

Tarulli is a professor at the Berklee College of Music and runs a mentorship program that teaches musicians of all levels how to navigate and make a meaningful mark in the music industry. 

Tarulli has been featured in podcasts such as No Guitar is Safe and Apex Lifestyles. In these thought works, he expresses his values on authenticity in a now digitally dominated industry.

The voice and energy is distinctly Nathalie Miranda. This artist refuses to be defined by genre and is single-handedly carving her own way through the industry. 

Nathalie’s highlights include performing on the BBC show ‘Later...with Jools’, and performing at some of London’s most iconic venues including The Troubadour, where she has headlined, and The Bedford. 

Nathalie has been featured on Future Hits Radio, a major platform for independent artists, and  since 2019, she has been performing her new releases live on BBC Radio, where her music has also found a home. 

Fluent in four languages, (English, Greek, French and Spanish), Nathalie has become a sought-after collaborator, lending her songwriting and vocal skills to up and coming international artists (AMG Corp, Dublin Studio Hub, Argenta Records). 

Her toplines and powerhouse vocals and have featured on an array of international dance tracks (Cassio, Babert, HouseU, Let There Be House, Manodom) and more.

John leads a busy double-life as an artist and an educator. He has performed with artists as diverse as Billy Cobham (Miles Davis), Alex Acuña, John Williams, Frank Gambale (Chick Corea), Paco Peña, Biréli Lagrène, Stochelo Rosenberg, Angelo Debarre, Paulus Schäfer, Mozes Rosenberg, Mike Clark and Bill Summers (The Headhunters), Carl Verheyen (Supertramp), Ralph Salmins, Paul Elliott, Keith Carlock and Laurence Cottle. John has toured the world with both Carl Palmer (ELP) and John Jorgenson (Elton John/ Hellecasters) and he is a regular contributor to Guitar Techniques UK, along with contributing numerous lessons for Guitarist UK, Guitar Part (France) and Guitar World (USA).

Chris is a session drummer based in the south of England, recording for artists around the world from his studio between gigs and tours.

Chris' first payed session was aged 12, doing a short spell of theatre shows as part of the pit band for a production of Bugsy Malone and by 16 was playing the local pub circuit. Touring started at age 18 with his first professional band Shy of the Depth before joining UK metal outfit Malefice, signed to Metal Blade records. This began extensive UK and European tours with Devildriver, Arch Enemy, Anthrax, Testament and festival appearances alongside Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, System of a Down and Linkin Park. 

In 2014, Chris decided to work as a session drummer, following in the footsteps of his hero Cozy Powell. 

Chris has since appeared on Planet Rock, Scuzz TV, Kerrang!, Sky One, Radio 1, BBC 4 and you can even hear his drums while watching UEFA Champions league football.

He has toured extensively throughout the UK and Europe and has appeared on major label releases. 

Some of Chris' personal highlights so far have been playing Download Festival at Donington Park, cruising the Mediterranean on the Runaway with Jon Bon Jovi cruise, recording a session at the infamous Abbey Road studios and playing a tribute solo to Cozy Powell at his memorial plaque unveiling in 2016 to Cozy’s friends and colleagues.

Session guitarist Aaron Forbes graduated from BIMM Music Institute London’s Commercial Music Performance degree and has since gone on to work with an amazing range of artists including Mabel, Dave, Stefflon Don, Jonas Blue, Not3s and Liam Payne.

Aaron, who started out by playing guitar in church, kicked off his professional career by playing a session with funky house legend Donae’o in 2011. He then went on to start his own music school in Essex, which he ran successfully for three years, teaching and inspiring other musicians. He now continues to teach guitar and has created his own online courses too, helping those from complete beginner to intermediate level to enjoy playing guitar.

Essex/London based guitarist Jim Clark is in great demand as a top session guitarist, in 2002 he was voted runner up in the “Guitarist of the Year” competition run by Guitarist magazine. He has worked on a multitude of projects for independent artists, record companies as well as radio and TV themes and soundtracks both here and in the US. Jim has written and transcribed for several publications including Guitar Techniques, as well as featuring on CNN News marking the release of Jimi Hendrix’s historic Monterey performance on DVD. As an educator, Jim is highly experienced, having taught extensively at all levels including degree and is deputy head of guitar at Tech Music School/Bimm London and is an instructor for the International Guitar Foundation.

Dion is a UK based session guitarist and tutor. He has spent over a decade working as a Session Guitarist and Song Writer and has recorded sessions for Artists, Film, TV and advertising in that time; in places such as AIR Studios and BBC Maida Vale. He has worked with artists such as Danni Minogue, Nina Nesbitt, St.Lundi, Sandi Thom and Echobelly.

Guitar Virtuoso Dave Kilminster's radical techniques and mesmerizing sounds captivate fans and fellow musicians alike. Dave won the 'Guitarist of the Year' competition in 1991, run by 'Guitarist' Magazine.

That recognition propelled him on a super-charged career as a multi-faceted guitarist, vocalist, engineer, producer, writer and instructor. Dave is a familiar figure worldwide to fans of progressive rock, having played with the likes of John Wetton (Asia, King Crimson, UK), Carl Palmer (ELP) and Ken Hensley (Uriah Heep). He later toured with one of his musical heroes Keith Emerson, and Keith credited Dave for inspiring him to go on the road again.

In 2006 Dave was asked to join Roger Waters (ex Pink Floyd) band as lead guitarist and vocalist on the extraordinary global staging of 'Dark Side of the Moon - Live' and the subsequent (and even more successful) 'The Wall - Live' tour. In fact 'The Wall - Live' is the highest grossing tour by a solo artist, and the third highest grossing tour OF ALL TIME!!!  

In amongst these tours Dave still found time to collaborate with John Wetton and Geoff Downes on their  'ICon' Project (resulting in an album 'Icon 3' and a short tour), and remix/re-master his solo album 'Scarlet - The Director's Cut'. Not to mention perform at the special 12-12-12 concert for Sandy Relief, an event that was broadcast to over two billion people!!!

Around this time Dave also began a unique collaboration with vocalist Murray Hockridge, whose soulful voice has been compared to Prince, Sting, and Stevie Wonder and spans over three octaves. Their unique blend of vocals & acoustic guitars has been dubbed "Acoustic Soul" but is truly indescribable. The pair recorded a special album of covers together entitled 'Closer to Earth', and have completed several successful tours in Europe.

After 'The Wall' tour Dave went straight back into the studio.... the result is a brand new solo album for 2014 entitled '...and THE TRUTH will set you free...'
