On April 21, we celebrate the life and work of St. Anselm of Canterbury, whose is remembered as the greatest theologian of his age and as a metaphysician who surpassed all after the time of Augustine. Though he is most remembered for his work, "Why God Became Man," his whole life bears witness to the power of the grace of God at work in him.

On April 19, 1012, St. Alphege, Archbishop of Canterbury, received the Martyrs crown, so on this April 19, we celebrate the grace of God that raised him up to a life of devotion and holiness, and strengthened him to follow in the way of Christ's cross.
