On June 9, we celebrate the Holy life and work of St. Columba, though whom God brought many in Scotland and England to himself. We remember this great Saint today, for on June 9, 597, he fell asleep in the Lord before the Altar of his abbey on Iona.

On June 8, 2018, we are called to the Commemoration of the First Book of Common Prayer, which is the fruit of many years of faithful labor by Abp. Thomas Cranmer and his associates to discover what was the mind of the ancient fathers of the undivided Church and to bring that mind forward into their own day. Let us praise God for this first Book of Common Prayer and let us hold fast to the faith which it contains.
