There will be a new swine barn on the Rice County Fairgrounds in time for the fair this summer.

Julianna Skluzacek and Samuel Temple promote their upcoming video of the play "Running." Show Dates are May 7-17. It's different for stage actors to do multiple video shots of each scene. Temple is directing and has 12 hours of video to cut into the 90 minute production.

Kelly Nygaard. Faribault Main Street Coordinator goes over details about the Downtown Micro Grant Program. In it's third year the program is open to proposed and existing businesses in the Historic District. Awards range from $500 to $5,000. Applications are being accepted until May 14,2021.

Dustin Dienst, Faribault Fire Chief says you do not have a permit to burn if you don't phone in to get the permit number. Permits are free through his department and $5 when you obtain one through the MnDNR website. You still need to phone for the permit number before burning.

Jasinski says Minnesota is receiving over 2.6 billion dollars from the Federal Government so there is no need to increase taxes on any residents. He is confident the I-35 interchange feasibility study at Rice County Road 9 will pass.
