Farmington FFA Alumni Association member Matt Braun brought in Farmington FFA members Ben Kluver, Millie Olson and Ethan Kluver to talk about activities going on in Farmington during National FFA Week.

Representative Allen says he dropped a couple bills the first week of the legislative session last week. He gives us some details about those and says he wants to focus on legislation that has a chance to pass this session with the house evenly split at 67 Republicans and 67 Democrats (firsts time since 1978). There is a one vote Democrat majority in the Senate.

Dustin Dienst is the Faribault Emergency Management Director for the city and Fire Chief. A couple of recent tragedies on the ice in the region prompted him to go over ice safety again. He also gives some information about a rural garage fire that occurred recently.

The Rice County Highway Department received an award this week for the best road project in Minnesota for 2025. Luebbe also discusses the proposed County Road 20 reconstruction project.

Mandy Barnes and John Rowan discuss what issues constituents are bringing up to them. The Community Action Center is requesting $50,000 to provide rental assistance for people not working in fear of ICE. Both state how they are probably going to vote next meeting.
