Five of the ten candidates for Faribault City Council discuss their views on various issues facing the city. Included are Jacob Reed, Thelma Estrada, Natalie Halverson, Lexi Temple, and Cameron Gustafson. If you have not done so already please vote Tuesday in the Primary Election. These ten will be pared down to six who will move on to the General Election in November.

Jill Strodtman with Faribault Parks and Recreation describes one of her favorite events each summer. The Pet Parade started in 1931 as a inexpensive event to deal with the Great Depression. This year's theme is "A Walk Through The Decades."

The remaining five are scheduled to be on KDHL Friday, August 7, 2026 from 7:05 to 8:00 p.m.

Nort Johjnson, President and CEO of the Chamber says the City Council is important to the vitality of a community and hopes turnout is good Tuesday for the Primary Election in Minnesota. There are 10 candidates vying for 3 seats on the City Council and the number will be dropped to six for the General Election in November.

Fair Manager Peter van Sluis says 2026 was a successful fair despite the hot weekend and hopes to have a demolition derby back in 2027.
