Chief Sherwin tells Faribault residents if you smell marijuana beginning next Tuesday in your neighborhood don't call the police because it's legal. Night to Unite is also Tuesday, August 1, 2023 with a dozen neighborhood events throughout the community.

Holy Trinity Catholic Church Litomysl is one of the oldest stone build churches in America. Their 51st annual Festival is Sunday on the church grounds. Bruce and Rose Ann Kubicek lead scores of volunteers from the church in hosting the festival which features a Polka Mass.

Rice County Attorney Brian Mortenson stops by KDHL Rice County Fair Booth to discuss a variety of topics. The County's chief prosecutor says the state legislature passed some incomplete legislation the latest session.

Thomas joined us at the KDHL Fair Booth to give his view on the new Cannibis Law in Minnesota. He wrote a letter to lawmakers last session encouraging them to wait to pass until a test is developed to determine impairment while driving. Security is also being beefed up at the fair and the carnival rides are closing down an hour earlier in hopes of eliminating some fighting issues experienced the last couple years at the fair in Faribault.

John Dvorak, Executive Secretary of Rice County Fair says he has enjoyed his 10 years at the position. Dvorak previews the 2023 fair and thanks all those who support the annual event.
