Amalia Short, a young painter, is visiting Santa Fe, New Mexico, for her aunt's funeral. Her aunt, who adored the artist Georgia O'Keeffe, shared a love of painting and the desert’s beauty. But when Amalia hears the wind speak and meets a mysterious woman, she begins to see the world in a magical new way.
