Amateur Radio Roundtable

Katie and Pat join us again as we talk about 6 meter transverters, our balloon launch update, breaking news about Hamvention, and much more.

The weather has cleared a little today and we launched a test balloon.  Its designed to stay up only about 21 days but it should circle the earth.   We hope in the next couple weeks to launch our real high altitude balloon.  It could stay up for a year.

Tonight we review our pending launch of a high altitude balloon and look at some that are circumnavigating the earth. With us tonight are Jim Brown Wb8ELK the Master of high altitude balloons, Martin F. Jue, K5FLU , founder of MFJ, and Pat Schouten K7lnp.

Just a quick update of whats going on and future events.

The hamvention webcast will cost us over $3000 to stream. Please help if you can.  For every $10 you donate we will put your name in the hat for this special prize.

Tonight Katie Allen, Martin Jue, Rich Moseson, Josh Nass, Ryan Flowers and Tom Medlin. We talk about home brewing, whats new in CQ magazine, and The old days. We also open phones and take viewers calls.
