Today it’s Freedom Friday on Perry and Shawna Mornings with stories of the risen Jesus changing lives!  First, if you have felt deep shame, you know it.  When the feeling grips Perry, he feels like he's literally going to be sick.  And the message in that horrible feeling is, What you’ve done or what has been done to you is who you are and who you’ll always be.  There is no hope for you.   But Jesus is healing Perry from this shame and God has given him a fresh insight that has brought deeper healing.  If you struggle with shame, this conversation will be life-giving!  Then, when Ryan from White Cloud was a young rebel, far from God, Jesus saved him from drowning in Lake Michigan so that he could live to put his faith in Jesus.  If you've never taken hold of Jesus as your great rescuer, we hope Ryan’s story will move you to start following Jesus today.   

Next, either you’re a judge.  A slave.  Or you’re free.  And you and I are living right now in one of these three ways.  In other words, either we think you’ve got the moral high ground, or we’re addicted, indulging, and enslaved by evil passions and pleasures, or you're free:  You're walking in humility because you know what you deserve for your sins, yet you're also walking in joy because you know you're getting what you don’t deserve, the free, full unconditional love of God.   The free life is how we we're designed to live, and free people change the world.   

Next the great Green Bay Packer quarterback Aaron Rodgers recently said:  I don’t know how you can believe in a God who wants to condemn most of the planet, you know, to a fiery hell. Like, what type of loving, sensitive, omnipresent, omnipotent being wants to condemn most of his beautiful creation to a fiery hell at the end of all this?  Perry agrees with Aaron.  Mostly.  Because Aaron’s not describing the God of the bible at all.  Finally, Perry’s friend John has a passion to reach Muslims with the love of Jesus.  And on a trip from Africa back to the US after changing his seat four times, he found himself sitting next to Fatima, a Muslim woman who was ready to hear the good news!  If today’s show encourages you, please share!
