Discerning God's call in our lives is not always easy. But when that call is clear, it can sometimes be even harder to obey. When God called Abraham to pack up his family and go to a place He would show him, it took great faith for Abraham to follow God's call. The creativity, industriousness and innovation of man has resulted in some amazing achievements over the course of history. Unfortunately, such accomplishments are too often driven by man's pride rather than God's praise. Such was the case in the first major building project in Scripture, the tower of Babel. Yet, man's pride cannot thwart God's plans. Listen as we see how God brought about the spread of the nations and purposed them for his glory.

Sometimes we think if we can just remove all the corrupting and negative influences in our lives, then all our problems would be solved. Well, Noah found himself starting over in a new world void of all the corrupt and violent influences from before, but it wasn't long before he discovered the problems weren't just external. Listen as we continue our study in Genesis.

Living in uncertain times brings with it a need for some measure of certainty. Surely Noah and his family were aware of this need as they began to settle on the earth after leaving the ark. Many questions must have flooded their minds and many fears about the future must have consumed them. How would they now relate to creation? Would God remain faithful to them? Had God's anger finally subsided? Would there be even more judgment to come? Listen as we consider how God's faithfulness to Noah and his family - and even the whole creation - shows God's eternal faithfulness to us in preserving his redemptive promises through the coming Redeemer, Jesus Christ.

We often think of God's saving grace as delivering us "from" his judgment upon sin. In reality, the truth of the gospel is that grace comes "through" judgment. Listen as we look at this aspect of the gospel as it is seen in the familiar account of Noah and the flood.

Not many of us like to stick out in a crowd or be thought of as crazy or radical, and yet over and over in God's word, we find that God uses those who are willing to go against the grain and stand alone on faith. One of those people was Noah, whose faith and obedience to God certainly made him stick out among the crowd, but ultimately led to the salvation of his family and the preservation of God's people. Listen as we continue our study in Genesis and look at what we can learn from Noah about standing alone in faith.

On the day Jesus was born, the angels proclaimed that his birth would bring peace on earth. On the day before he died, Jesus said to his followers, "Peace I leave you, my peace I give to you." The gift of true peace lies in the person of Jesus Christ who is our peace. Join us Sunday as we celebrate the peace that is found in the coming of Christ.

We hear a lot of talk about peace with one another. Politically, racially, internationally, culturally; there always seems to be some effort at peace talks and seeking reconciliation. But is it possible? God's word gives us the only true solution to reconciliation and unity with one another and that is the peace that is found in Jesus. Listen as we continue to look at Jesus' gift of true peace.

"I've got to find myself." We've all heard or maybe said that at some point. Self identity is so important to us. We seek and find our identity in relationship to various things: job, family, skills, wealth, what others think. But inevitably, those kinds of things that define us also end up disappointing us. Jesus came into the world to give us a new identity that will never disappoint and ultimately promises to bring an end to the "search" for self. Listen as we look at Jesus' perfect gift of true peace with self.
